with such a s...l...o...w internet connection. It was taken me an hour to download 1 part of a kit! So I looked into it and found that I was only getting 244 kbps when I should be getting 3000 kbps! Wow what a diffence in downloading time...I download everything in less than an hour!:thumbup:

UGH, my DL time is pretty slow too, but compared to your original, not really. LOL I think it takes me about 5 mins to DL an entire kit. Not horrible, but I know it could be faster.

YAY for getting it fixed.

How did you find out how fast it was? I should check into mine. I'm not paying for the fastest DSL, but it does sometimes seem like it should be faster than it is!

I can't even remember those days so I have no idea how you could deal with that... We have 6mbps service now which I'm told is the fastest you can get. My dl's take about 1-2 minutes depending on the size of the file.

I had this problem on Saturday night...I was connected at the right speed, but my downloads were SOOO slow...not just at SSD but on several other sites too. I called my IP and they said it was the site, not them...but then like 10 mins later, everything started working better. I'd just struggled with the 1 hour downloads though for 2 files before calling them, lol.

I don't know how fast this is, really, as you pay on a tier level for the speed you want. Like the other gal, i'm keeping my money for buying kits,lol. Mine's fairly fast. It might take 10 minutes to download parts of a kit, like alphas, papers, etc. A bit longer if they're not divied up so small.
