I am fairly new to digital scrapping and I want to start to be a part of the online world(getting advice, ideas, having people to ask questions, etc.) I am trying to start by getting some of my layouts uploaded but I am having trouble. I resized my lo's by changing the resolution from 300 to 72 and then went to my save and saved for web. When I try and upload to your site i do so under member galleries and it just seems to take forever but nothing ever gets uploaded to the site. I don't know what I am doing wrong PLEASE HELP!!!:) :)

what are the dimensions of your image and file size?
i think it has to be 600x600 or less and no larger than 150kb.

Do you have a lot of text in your description? Sometimes that will stop an upload. Just make sure your page is 500x500 (for optimal image quality) and under 125k. If you upload like this without the text (assuming there's a lot), you can go back and edit your layout, add the text, and then it will work. Hope that helps- welcome! :)

What you need to do is, instead of changing from 300 to 72 dpi (since "save for web" does that automatically) is resize your layout to about 500x500 pixels or 600x600 pixles (that is, if you are scrapping square...if not, resize your LARGEST size to 500 or 600)...THEN go to Save For Web. Make sure your file size is under 150 kb since many sites have a size limit for that as well...you can adjust the size of the file by using the quality slider in the Save For Web menu and watching the text/numbers below the image of your layout change.

HTH!

under Save for Web, after you resize your layout down to 500-600 pixels you, you can choose the Optimize to File Size option and then plug in 150 kb for the file size.

i do 600x600 pixels and keep my file size under 150kb and have had no probs uploading here.

Look forward to seeing your pages!

yay! looks great!

oh i forgot to mention that for the Optimize to File Size it may not be very obvious how to get to that option. need to click on the double arrow in the Save to Web option (near where you choose what file format you want). Pretty sure I'm not explaining that well at all.

anyway, Welcome to SSD!
