How to make my own album??

I need to make a few albums for 8x10 pages. What would I use to make the album cover and back? I know it needs to be sturdy, just don't know what to use...and I'm stumped as to how I'll bind them together...I didn't leave any borders around my layouts to punch holes??? Thanks!

for covers, chipboard like this? I don't know how sturdy medium weight is. Then maybe use page protectors? Or put your layouts on larger cardstock and punch holes through the cardstock? and use binder/book rings. or ribbon. or sew?

are you not wanting to use a regular album?

I would jsut use an 8.5x11 album. WAY easier.
