How many times do you use a kit?

What's the most you have ever used a kit? And on average do you only use each kit once?

I typically only use my kits once and I'm starting to feel guilty about it! LOL! I feel like I have scrapbookers ADD... like I love a kit and I do a LO and swear that I'm going to use the kit again and then suddenly another kit grabs my attention and I HAVE TO use that one right away and the other one is forgotten... and that happens over and over again!

Anyone else?!?
 
kind of...sometimes I get bored with a kit and I will forget about it but then Ill need something and think of that kit that has been filed away for months and go back to it and itll be fresh for me again
 
One to two ... I only have one or two kits I've used more ... although there are some elements I will use over and over, but the kit won't be the primary focus of the LO, so I'm not counting those.
 
I have used one kit...4 times and the rest I really **try** hard to use twice. I really haven't thrown any away yet, because there is always elements I can use again. Hmmm, wonder if that will still be true a year from now..lol..:)
 
Zero to one times LMAO. You know what a hoarder I am!

The only exception to this has been La/Shawna's Princess of La La Land, I have used that for 3-4 LOs, and a chipboard book. LOL
 
Usually just once but I want to try to use everything at least twice. I'm a huge hoarder. I literally have hundreds of unused kits *blush*! The last time I was brave enough to look I had over 300 unused kits! I'm trying really hard to stop hoarding though LOL!
 
MAYBE 1 time. LOL! I may use an element out of a kit once or twice, but most of my kits sit on my hard drive untouched, lol. :blink:
 
I'm pretty good at using them more than once. I know most of Kristin's I can use overandoverandover. LOL, same with Kay's. If it's girlygirl, it's gonna get used repeatedly. But I recently have been going through my stash to use those few I have that I've never used.
 
I split my kits up into the Gina Miller organizational method so I could use certain elements or papers of kits hundreds of times.
 
i'm with Jamie -- 0-1 times usually. My personal best would be using Dani and MandaBean's A Very Merry Unbirthday three times.

It's hard to talk myself into using a kit more than once knowing that new kits are coming out all the time . . .

Certain elements I have used over and over again though.
 
At least once by itself, then all the elements & paper gets sorted into my folders in ACDSee, so bits and peices end up getting used quite often. I like getting the most bang for my buck, so I usually only buy really versatile kits, kwim? There are LOTS of cute ones out there, but they are too themed for me, so as cute as they are, I don't buy.
 
I think I have about 12 layouts in the gallery with the Bowl-A-Rama kit and more that I have done that didn't qualify for a challenge! I have a basketball kit that I bought that was HUGE MEGA sized and I probably did at least 20 layouts with it!

I try as a minimum to do 2 layouts with each kit...but really want to do a minimum of 4 with each. I have 3 boys and I make books for each...so 6 layouts would only be 2 pages for each of their books.

...but I may be the exception to the rule... lol
 
You've got another hoarder right here, LOL!! Once is the most I've ever used a kit. I might go back to a kit I really like and use an element or two, but overall, it's just one time.
 
i am 1,000% with you, jac. i LOVE my kits and i always wanna use them again, but there are always so many goodies to be had!
 
Probably once or twice, although there are a few kits I've used over and over...and quite a few that I've bought and not touched...but I had to have em!
 
I have heard of some scrappers who use a kit once and then DELETE the kit off their hard drive! :blink:

Ack.... thats sick! Thats like biting off a small piece of a chocolate bar then trashing the rest! I couldn't do it. Eat the WHOLE THING, baby!

you do know that LOs can be uploade dhere as long as they contain some goodies from SSD right? They don't all have to be for a challenge :)
 
To answer the question..I'm a 1 time user pretty much..occasionally I'll pull an element or something from another kit and use again but for the most part, I use it once and then it sits on my hard drive.

That's me, too. I tend to buy kits when they're on sale, and I use them when they match what I want to scrap. Sometimes that's immediately (especially if I can get an extra Sweet Rewards point for using it right away!), and sometimes a few months goes by before I get to it. I use almost everything eventually, and a lot of them I use 2 or more times. I have no idea what the max is--probably 4 or 5 for a full kit, but there are some pieces of kits that I've used over and over.
 
I always use every kit at least twice. Sometimes more, the holiday kits I tend to use more than twice.

The reason I always use every kit twice is, when I do my shutterfly albums I make sure that the pages that face each other match. So I tend to use the same background paper. It just flows better for me. I don't like them to be mix matched.

I keep thinking about scrapping chronologically like you do Vanessa! I'm so bad at printing and putting my LO's in albums and I really want to try Shutterfly!
 
I really try to use a kit twice... hence the reason I have tons and tons of kits in my "new kits" folder. I only move them to the designer's folder after I've used them twice.
 
I try for twice, but most of the time it's only once. I have, however, used Kay Miller's Miami Pink for 3 lo's. LOVE that kit.
 
I think if I'm lucky I'll use a kit twice. I still have plenty I've never used, and one time is probably more likely the case.

Vanessa - I love the look of the matching pages! ... maybe someday if I get caught up... :)
 
Hmmmm.... I use most kits at least twice and some kits I use a few elements from OVER AND OVER. I really get a lot out of my stash.

NOTHING WRONG WITH THAT! Better than SOME people I know who delete the kits BEFORE they've even used it ONCE.

For the record, I take just as much pleasure in deleting a kit off my hard drive once I've used it as I do in actually using it. Normally I just use it once, but if there is a paper or two that I really like and didn't get to use, I'll use it two times before I delete it. If there are papers or elements I really LOVE, then I'll move them into the correct folder {i.e. papers, buttons, etc.} before I delete the folder.
 
I have very little money to spend on scrapping, so I have used all the kits I have bought more than once, and will most likely continue to use them.
