I've recently started renaming mine after seeing Traci's post about organizing and how she names her layouts. I now use date and name of layout 'mm-dd-yy awesomelayout'. From there IF I want to separate my pages out in to different albums (kids, family, etc.) I can move them to different folders.
When I first started scrapping I just saved it under the layout title and put it in a folder for whatever album it would end up in. For example, Declan 1 month. Of course I ran in to the problem of trying to make things chronological and I'd have to go back through my layouts to try and organize them to make sure I had January's layouts before February's, etc. Pain in the butt. Then I got really lazy and started saving everything in to a single folder. Frustrating to go back through that folder looking for one specific layout and forget being chronological. I've just started going through that folder and renaming things today. I need to go through my old folders and re-do some layouts. Some are okay but some are beyond bad. ROFL
