Honeymoon in Las Vegas

It's almost that time for me!

I've been to Vegas countless times, but has anyone honeymooned/gotten married there? We'd love to know if anyone does extra comps for honeymooners. We're staying at the MGM Grand (in January) and I figured I'd ask for a room comp upgrade at check-in, but even if no, we're happy with our room there. It would be great to save elsewhere!

Any tips or info?

You're getting MARRIED?!! Woohooooo!!! Yay Jenn! I'm so happy for you! Congratulations! I have no idea about Vegas, but it sounds like a fun place for a honeymoon. :)

Wow! Well, I've been there a few times, but never to get married, lol! So... no advice other than have an awesome time!

I'll second Jacinda...you're getting MARRIED?! Did I/We miss an announcement?! That's so exciting! Congrats!!

Congrats Jenn!! I saw the engagement didn't know you set a date woot!!

you can try the $20 trick..it's worked for me at Venetian, Bally's, Harrah's, and Westgate. I've heard it works at Caesar's too. Are you already booked @ MGM? I know Vegas hears all the time it's a special occasion so be prepared for it not to work but if it does it's usually a decent upgrade.

also i know y'all kinda like adventure. I saw this scavenger hunt type thing I want to do when I go again. Check it out for me k? haha lemme find the link for it.

Turn Las Vegas into a giant game board with this fun scavenger hunt adventure! This challenge combines the excitement of the Amazing Race with a 3-hour city walking tour. Guided from any smart phone, teams make their way among well known and overlooked gems of the city, solving clues and completing challenges while learning local history.

The adventure begins in the heart of strip and takes you on a well-designed course in and among the famous hotels and casinos. The tour requires approximately 2 miles of walking, with numerous stops along the route to complete challenges and decipher clues. The game software tracks team points and posts the final score to a city leaderboard for those with a competitive edge.

Using a smart phone as "the guide" allows participants to start when they want and determine their own pace of play, leaving time to stop for a bite to eat or simply to enjoy the best sights of the city. Great for families, friends and those ready to have fun on a scavenger hunt adventure!

if more than 5 people go split into two groups..anyways looks fun!!

I hope you have a great trip :)

We announced the engagement on Facebook, but I'm pretty low-key, so no real big announcements or anything. We're getting married here in Florida (just the two of us) then going to Vegas. It will be Matt's first time there and we're renting a car so I can show him outside Vegas, too.

he will love it..sigh i love Vegas so much haha aching for another trip.

Congrats on your wedding :)

Oh Jenn!!!! Congrats on the engagement!!!! Have a great time in Vegas, I have only been to actually stay there once and I was pregnant with morning sickness. Maybe that is why I have not been back. I have passed through many times though. Anyway, congrats and take lots of photos ( I know you will) LOL

Congrats!! We went there for our honeymoon but that was 9 years ago and I don't remember any comps. :( I think there are too many people getting married there that it wouldn't work...but what do I know?

I'll let you know if I can remember any.

ETA: Haha! Just kidding. We didn't go there for our honeymoon. We went there the next year. Since it was just the 2 of us, I spaced it & thought it was a honeymoon lol! I'll still see if I can find any.

huge Congratulations, Chicka!!

the P and I got hitched in Vegas... Graceland Chapel, Baby!!

we made it into a long weekend of sorts... stayed at the Stratosphere and got upgraded to a suite for 2 nights. I think we somehow snagged free tickets to a show because of being in the HM suite... but can't recall the details of how any of that happened.

my cousin was just there a few weeks ago and said the new zipline is really fun and worth doing. talk about a fun photo op!

We stayed at the Vdara the last time. It is a little off the strip, but the rooms are all suites and we got an upgrade to the side that looks out over the Bellagio fountain. It was awesome!

If you guys don't make it to the Grand Canyon, you can always try Red Rock Canyon instead or Hoover Damn. Hope you'll have an amazing time!
