Holy Back-ups Batman!!!

Ok, so I've been out of pocket for a bit because I changed to a new computer and lost my Acdsee stuff and had to start over (didn't back-up. I know, my bad). So I've retagged EVERYTHING over the past week (YIPPEE) and now I'm backing up my database like a good girl should. It directed me to save to CD which I'm doing but.....um......I'm on CD #10?????? Is this thing backing up my entire hard drive? It's supposed to be just my database - golly, is the database that large?? I'll know next time to just back up to my EHD I guess.

are you backing up files too?

There should be an option to backup just the database with no files.

10 CDs seems like a lot for just a database.

Yup, your database should only be a few MB. You had the box checked to backup all files AND the database which is why it's taking so much time and space.

I just backed up my database that I've been working on for the last year, and it was only 19MB and took abt 5 minutes.

Yup - that's what I did. I thought I needed all that stuff backed up as well. I guess I don't? Oh well.... live and learn - that's what I do!

Well, you do want your files backed up somewhere but you don't have to do it ACDSee.
