-- that everytime I eat something, it leaves a weird taste in my mouth afterwards (dumb pg symptoms!)

I call mine swamp mouth and it's usually cause by something with sugar in it or carbs!!! Try following anything sugary or carbo-y with a protein and it should help...it won't take it totally away but it should help!!

Also Extra Peppermint gum (chewed 24/7) helped some too!!!!

Thanks, Elizabeth. I usually haul around my fave mints for just such an occasion, but I forgot them at home today, so I am SOL. Swamp mouth is a very good term for it!

I feel like a walking protein most of the time since the doc wants me to eat so much of it, but it's so booooooooooooring to just eat meat, veggies, milk, and cottage cheese ALL the time.

:p

UGH...I know exactly what you're talking about...except mine was there all the time those first few months...it was half the reason I was puking all the time lol. Eating ice cubes constantly helped some. Honestly I tried everything but nothing worked very well..you just have to push through it lol

I know I have been VERY LUCKY in that regard, Nikki. The first time I puked during this pg was this past Saturday, and I think that was a side effect of the nasal discharge I'm dealing with all the time now.

Seriously, I so thought I wanted 3 or 4 babies. Now.... maybe not. PREGNANCY IS, LIKE, FRICKIN' HARD!!

:p

Who'd have thunk it that growing another human being would be work, eh?! ;) I tooootally hated being PG. Just thinking about "swamp mouth" gives me swamp mouth LOL... good times. :glare:

Aww sweetie it does get totally better...wait till you feel that first little bump or nudge and then when you see your whole belly roll and change shape...not to mention that very first time you hold that little monkey!!!

Plus you do forget about the "yuckyness" of it....or atleast talk yourself into believing that it will be different next time :D

BTW...I'm still waiting for it to be different :p :D :D :D

Yeah, I'm still waiting for my beautiful pg glow, Elizabeth. :p

I'm sure I will feel better once I start to show and can feel the baby. I'm still wearing my pre-pg clothes & just look a little fat, kwim? Although I know I am pg 'cause I feel weird and out of sorts 99.99% of the time and saw the u/s pics last week, I don't FEEL pg quite yet.

It just feels like a weird half-dream/half-nightmare at this point.

LOL! I loved being pregnant the 1st time. Second time it was harder, cause there was less time to rest and I had to keep up with a toddler. By this 3rd one I was just glad it was my last. It seemed so much harder even though it was almost the same as my 1st 2, symptom-wise. But the lack of rest and indigestion were killers this time. And this is coming from someone who had 'easy' pregnancies--no morning sickness, generally feeling tired but okay otherwise.

I've been getting that delightful pregnancy symptom too... I have to chew, chew, chew on gum (but I'm a gum-chewer anyways, so it's all good!) Lots of ice cold water helps too :)

In about 5 weeks time you'll wanna eat Raisin Bran! :p With that diet, you'll definitely get some constipation problems soon, hun... that's what happened to me, but Raisin Bran Crunch is yummy, so I eat it every morning and no problems anymore! (Just a suggestion from a fellow preggo! ;) )

Oh yes. There is this Fiber One yogurt Jeff bought me last week: four rather small containers of it.

I ate HALF of one yesterday morning at work... and SO glad it was only half!! *lol*

LA you will forget all about pg being hard and want to do it again. Believe me, after puking every day for 9 mos and then going thru 24 hours of labor only to have an emergency c-section I LOVED being pregnant. I'd do it again if I could in a heartbeat! But wanting more kids is another story! ;)
