What are you up to today?

My kids have gone to stay with grandparents for a couple of days, so it's just DH and I. While I fully intended to get straight into scrapping yesterday, I ended up majorly spring cleaning my study because the piles of old school work, craft mess and unfiled papers were driving me crazy. I got rid of a whole garbage bag and a half of junk. AND.....I no longer have paint smeared-glitter sprinkled-finger smudged desk tops. I have white desk tops people! White! Woohoo! :D And not a single bit of clutter left. This morning I tackled the downloads folder on the computer too. Reorganised/refiled and tidied that up, getting rid of 15GB from my recycle bin afterwards.

Ahhhh......it feels so good to be organised again. Now to sort through the 400 photos I'm keeping from December, and decide which to scrap first.

How about you? What are you up to today?

Went to church with the kids while DH stayed home sick with a head cold. After church we did brunch with my parents & brother, followed by quick trip to Jamba Juice for DH: a vitamin C packed carrot/orange smoothie. Now I am starting up a new scrapbook page while DH and DS draw together and DD takes her afternoon nap. I think we will grill out something tonight and make ice cream in the new ice cream maker I got us for Christmas.

we went to church, grabbed Subway for lunch, and now we're watching fball :) I hope to design a bit later and then download some goodies to get my Project Life folder organized a bit later so I'm ready to get started!

This is my first time turning on the computer today. Having the kids home from school means no scrapping time for me. I'm just opening photoshop for the first time in over a week. Today I had my niece over too, and pretty much spent the day following all the kids from room to room cleaning up after them! Just about to have dinner here, then hope to finish at least one scrap page before bed.

church and just cleaned up lunch...going to visit some cousins/have coffee/playdate this afternoon.

Brook - let me know how your ice cream turns out! I got an ice cream maker for Christmas too! :)

Hope you enjoy the ice cream maker. I got one this year and we love it!

I'm baking a Danish and taking a break, since it's Sunday, from all the deep spring cleaning and project finishing we've been tackling since Christmas. We've gotten so much done but still have so much to do and it's kind of killing me to not be sanding bookshelves...
In another hour or so we are heading to my parent's house for family dinner.

I'm organizing my computer today - getting my address book cleaned up, organizing digi stuff, cleaning up my Safari bookmarks, etc., etc.

We are day 6 of this stupid cold... so watching football - waiting for the Packer/Viking game to start... kiddo is playing with every toy he got from Christmas... I'm scrapping... and hubby is back from working radio and is now working at his computer...

we went grocery shopping for our NYE party, took down the last of the christmas items, and now I am sitting around debating running the last of my errands or scrapping lol

I'm cleaning up HD's, just got back from running some errands in town (groceries and letting the kids spend their Christmas giftcards), making hubby salmon for dinner, then sewing some PJ pants for the kids that I didn't get done before Christmas, feeling a bit creative so hopefully afterdark I'll get to get some scrappy time in.

We stayed home from church today due to some cold like symtoms. SO, we are having a lazy day. Everyone is in Pj's. Hubby is watching football. I am getting some scrapbooking done. The kids are playing with new toys from Christmas. Pretty awesome day. It has been a long time since we have all been lazy and enjoying a day together.

I slept until noon. Unfortunately it wasn't a 'sleeping in' type of sleep. I was sick last night and didn't get to sleep until 7am. After I got up I still kind of felt hung over from last night's stuff so I just took it easy today.

I did go shopping this evening to buy ingredients for tomorrow's dinner. We always have seafood on NYE. In past years we've done crab legs and shrimp scampi with pasta but this year we are going to have crab legs and jambalaya. I don't know how my tummy will react after being sick, but we'll see. It sounds good anyway.

My kids spent the day playing with the neighbor's grandson. He lives in Colorado and visits every 6-8 weeks throughout the year. He was here for Thanksgiving and then came a few days after Christmas. He leaves tomorrow so I'm not sure how much more time they'll have with him but they have had fun. He is right in between my two in age so they all get along well.

Pizza is in the oven. I am organizing Christmas ornaments as I put them away. I am pulling extra ones from the storage tubs in the garage to organize too. I have about 8 artificial trees and only one of them went up this year (along with a live tree) because I just didn't feel like going through everything and pairing ornaments with trees, etc. I'm doing it now to make it easier for next Christmas.

I think I will scrap some this evening. :)

My parents are visiting, so DH and I got to sleep in while my mother played with the kids. :) This morning we were just home playing and getting things done, then we all went out to lunch and to a small local museum together. I went to the gym for an hour, then came home to cook dinner for the kids and clean up. Just put the kids in bed, so I'm going to eat dinner and hopefully scrap. My parents are out to dinner with a college friend of my father's, so whether I get some scrap time to myself depends on when they get back.

I am sick too so we have been watching old movies and tv shows on our new Roku. Today's choices are Ghost, Runaway Bride and now Fame....love that my girls don't mind seeing these with me. :)

I just got back from seeing The Hobbit. What a great movie. I loved seeing all the New Zealand scenery. It finished too soon for me - I wanted to see the rest of the story. Guess I'll have to wait for the next part.
