Here's what I've got...

Ok... so between my SSD shopping bonanza and a trip to hobby lobby and Michaels today, here's what I've got:

a few chipboard albums (a star, Jack, a "my word" album), several "ready for chipboard" albums from FAB SSD designers, a Xyron Cheetah 2", a crop-a-dile, some ribbons, a bone folder, cutter bee retractable knife and self healing cutting mat, white cardstock paper, mod podge (I hope I still have that somewhere) and krylon spray adhesive.

I WANT to make a few albums, that cool CD album and CD case projects. So now what? :D Hee hee...

Do you have a brush for the modge podge? If you are planning on sanding/inking, you might need a file and some dye-based ink. Otherwise, sounds like you are ready to roll!

Now it's time to get to work! LOL! Can't wait to see your first project!

Woohoooo! You are almost all stocked up!! How exciting! Deanna gave some great advice. I know some use a file to sand. I have a sanding sponge. It's what I had on hand though it's probably more likely you have a nail file somewhere at home. Other optional embellies I CAN'T live without: buttons (I just buy the big bags from the sewing section b/c they're lots cheaper than "scrapbooking buttons"), fabric and paper flowers, and foam adhesive squares.

big lots.....of trouble...

hey girls...well, i made a little jaunt to BIG LOTS today..and got into you guessed it..>BIG LOTS of trouble..ladies..they have some FaBULOUs finds! I have a few hybrid projects up my sleeve...but oh my gosh...i got an awesome LOT of goodiez...

accordion albums (awesome) bought like 7 of them...the coolest notebooks...they look like very alterable...folders...let's see..a few albums... oh my goodness....what else...sanding block (of course..have a TON but would be LOSt if i couldn't find them), a few frames...but the best deal was those accordion books...if you have a BIG LOTS..RUN don't WALK out there and grab those up...they are tooooo cooL!

later taters...the crop-a-dile ROCKS..i have several of them (don't fret..i used to own my own LSS..that is why..) they are SOO useful for EVERYTHING though! have an awesome weekend...xoxo

Yepp, I keep tabs on my Big Lots too, but they usually don't have the same thing as another store so if you have 2 around you, check both!!!

And I buy all the albums here at SSD - stocked up at the sale here ;)

At the moment I am busy working on my second ever hybrid project: A Luggage Tag Album using my newest kit "Boysenberry".

I am way behind, cause I signed up for the Recipe Album which I haven't started yet. And then there is the birthday album of my DS waiting - it was Fire Truck themed so I had to buy Heather Roselli's "To the rescue" kit.

I am not a file girl, I prefer a sharp craft knife/cutter - everybody is different, I guess.

So, create your album pages, print them out and let the ink dry properly. If you have bought an ablum from SSD I bet there is a handy instruction in the zip! Cut the prints out and glue/modge podge them on, one side at a time. Let the glue dry completely before sanding/cutting the edges. When one side is done, do the other side.

Although I only have done one - it is so much fun, addictive and not as hard as it looks! Have fun!

I did too! I won ADSR and one of the prizes (the best prize if you ask me) was a $50 certificate for SSD! I spent it in 5 minutes flat! I love the instructions included in zips for newbies like me an I see it is quickly becoming a new addiction for me too!

Thanks girls!
