Help with memory card

So today we got to go to the Buckeyes home opener :thumbup:. I bought new batteries and charger for my camera, a Kodak C875, because the thing eats batteries like it's going out of style. Anyway after all that, I realized I had no memory card :( So we go to CVS and I buy a ridiculously overpriced 2G Kodak SD memory card. It doesn't work!!! It gets stuck in an endless cycle of saying it needs to be formatted, but then doesn't actually format. So, I got to the campus computer store and see if someone can help. They think it's just a bad card, so I buy ANOTHER CARD. Guess what, that doesn't work either!!! So I ended up with a disposable camera for all my shots. Sorry for the rant, anyway
I need some help with these 2 brand new memory cards that won't format. I don't know what to do with them. Any help would be great!!!

could it be your camera? would the camera actually let you format the card? other than that I have no idea..unless you know someone else that might have that camera and could try it in theirs~sooo sorry
 
Sounds like an issue with the camera, not the cards. I'd look up reasons for the camera not formatting--see if there's anything out there about it in regards to your camera.

Sorry you had such a bad camera day!
 
I checked my manual and found nothing :cursing: dumb camera. But the SD card I already have at home works in the camera just fine :confused:
 
and you are sure they are the right caards you bought and not a newer version or something? that is just totally WEIRD and what are the odds you possibly got 2 BAD cards in 1 day?:cursing:
