Help please!

I just purchased a kit that I'm planning to use to make my daughter's birthday invitations. I have Photoshop Elements but I'm new to the whole digital scrapbooking thing. I can't get any of the elements to open in the program. I tried to save them as JPEGs and the picture will open but it has a white background behind. Can someone please help!

If you're just double clicking on the element to open it and it's opening in a program other than elements, then it sounds like your preferences aren't set right. However if you drag the element from the folder window actually into the program, it should still open fine!

Yeah, they should be opening as PNGs to have a clear background, sounds like something is wonky with your PSE.
