Help needed!!

Help needed!! *UPDATED*

I need layout help ladies! I've had this layout open for 4 days now. I sit down and add elements to it, then decide it doesn't look right, then delete it. I keep getting it down to this exact point, and I don't know what to add to it to finish it!! Any suggestions??

ETA: The journalling will be going in the big empty column, so I'm looking for ideas for around the picture on the top or left side...

ETAA: Oh, and I am willing to move things, change things, delete things (such as the date strip) if you think something would look awesome but "such and such is in the way"...

the date strip does look a little loney. maybe place it under the photo a little? if you can and the date you need will still show...i think it needs some random ribbons, def the journaling, pull the title up a little. maybe condense the overall size a bit and then go to town on some elements...buttons, flowers, etc. i love the start for sure, jade!!
 
also.. I thikn I totally have the same flooring in my bedroom (weird.. yes.. why is that in my bedroom.. lol)
 
Swirls, flowers tucked under the photo.......what if you overlay the date strip (flip it vertical) along the LHS of the photo, since there's some extra space and it wouldn't be in the way of that cute face:)
Adorable LO though, Love the photo and great choice of kit to scrap it with!
