HELP! Need hybrid ideas for give-a-ways

I am the mentor for Spirit & Sportsmanship for our robotics team...I am supposed to come up with a hybrid idea that the kids can make easily for give-a-ways at the competition (200-500 items)...not sure if that is going to become a reality.

Last year we made these:

We made a "matchbook" notepad for a give-a-way...it was really cute. We need something like this...that is CHEAP and easy to make in mass quantities.

Any ideas??

Thanks!

Those are super cute!

A couple things that came to mind...
- Mini coloring books (maybe a bit larger than the matchbooks)
- Mini candy bars in the little hybrid wrappers
- Robot stickers (on sticker paper)... you could use a larger round die to cut them quickly/easily
- Bookmarks
- Some kind of little game boards on cardstock or even regular paper- like mini tic tac toe boards with robot theme? Orrrr, what about a mini crossword/word fine puzzle with robot theme? Or word scramble? I know there are lots of cool sites, like this one: http://www.wordsearchmaker.net/ where you can make your own puzzles

I'll keep thinking on this!

I don't know if you want (or are allowed) to give away bagged goodies - but if you have something to give away in a bag (candy, cookies, dried fruit, "robot mix" trail mix, or even erasers, etc) you could make little robot bag toppers.

Thanks Deanna....bookmark idea gave me an idea...we're making bookmarks that have information on them about the challenge...someone walking in would have no idea why these robots are picking up tennis balls, racquet balls, tomato paste cans, and pulling a "globe" of the eart off a line....so we are using the bookmarks to explain the game and what they are trying to accomplish. ...and talk about super simple!

Wish we could do food items...but they don't allow it unfortunately...

I'm sorry I'm late in replying to this, but I remember seeing modified pens somewhere - unfortunately I can't find them...

They involved adding an indert to an ordinary biro - and they looked a lot better than my description, but I just cant find them!!!!

Are tshirt transfers too far out of your budget?

I would definitely second bookmarks - and how about pencil boxes with a couple of pencils in? And did you see La's post about the friendship necklaces too? - shrink plastic is reasonably easy to get hold of.
