Help Me Pick A Book...

back from the library:) - Kylie's Brownie meeting is there, so I had lots of "shopping" to do...

Picked up Vanishing Acts (picoult) and Metro Girl (evanovich)....I'm already in the middle of Some Nerve (jane heller - someone I hadn't ever heard of but picked it up on a whim, which is so NOT like me - and I'm enjoying it).

Thanks to this thread, I've got a list going now...

I have a lot of catching up to do...If I stop scrappin, doing laundry, cleaning and cooking I could read all of them by next week!!!!!

13 comes out in paperback in June, the same day 14 is released. :)

Thanks for letting me know this AFTER I spent $60 looking for it. :p

Christine they are WAY quick reads. I literally read 3 in a week at one point. But I'm also a super fast reader.

Speaking of which, I'm off to bed/to start reading the patterson. See you ladies tomorrow!!

I am a fast reader too so I guess I am all good...Can't wait to see what you think of the Patterson book!!!!

Well, I finished "Glass" last night and still wasn't tired so I decided to pick another book...went with "Night" by Elie Wiesel. So far it's good - but it's a short book, only like 100 pages. I'll probably have it finished tonight and start another...I read about 25 pages last night before finally falling asleep. :)

I just finished 7th Heaven in about 6 hours. Fan-freaking-tastic. Normally, I kind of figure these things out before the end of the book. TOTALLY had no idea. SO awesome.

I have 3, 4, 5, 6, and 7 if anyone would like to borrow them :) I really need to make a master list of the books I own, I've bought doubles at least twice.

I have done the same thing, don't feel bad.......I have like three copies of some Patterson books....

Oh wow - i love when they are that good - I LOVED The Quickie!

I'd love to borrow 7th Heaven if you don't mind...Just let me know. Otherwise, I'll probably break down and buy it.

K, book lovers like me. I'm in charge of picking the book for book club in May. It's a relatively conservative group and I was thinking of doing My Sister's Keeper, but I couldn't remember if there was "language" in it. Does anyone have it on hand that could give it a skim and let me know? or read it recently and has a better memory than I do? LOL

I know KristinCB just read it a couple weeks ago...send her a PM! :)

Ok, Bree, I am just wondering how many hours are in YOUR day, and can you send some my way?LOL!

I have seen The Constant Gardner and liked it - I think the book would be excellent, would be interested in hearing how it is.

Other good reads:
The Glass Castle by Jeannette Wells
Sweetness in the Belly by Camilla Gibb

And right now I'm reading Cry the Beloved Country by Alan Paton and really liking it.

LOL, Nicole! I just read when my internet goes down, or just before bed. And sometimes I lay down during nap time and read until I fall asleep. I've got this restless brain thingie...I have to do something to basically shut off my brain, until I'm sooooo tired I can't keep my eyes open anymore. Without a book, I'll lay awake for hours at night just trying to fall asleep.

Oh, I read The Glass Castle too, which is totally not a book I would normally read, but my best friend encouraged me to and it was really good!

I've just recently read Pillars of the Earthby Ken Follett and plan on starting his As the World Turns in the near future. Right now I'm finishing up Diana Gabaldon's Outlander series, which has turned out to be really good. It's not the kind of book I would typically pick up but my MIL got me started on it and it has turned out to be a real page turner.
