After years with my beloved pink Razr, it's time I move on. DH got a data/internet plan for me today and I want something new. I'm with AT&T. Soooooo....what do you recommend?

PS)Can't afford an IPhone

lol, I refuse to look at new phones as I can't get a new one for another year. BUT - we need to exchange numbers -- lol, we're mobile to mobile!

if you have the data plan already i'd get the blackberry. I have the Samsung Propel (with AT&T) but you dont' need a data plan for that...that said..if you are going to pay $99 for the blackberry (i think it has a $50 gc rebate though to make it $49 but that'll be 6-8 weeks lol) then you might as well wait a month or two to save $100 more for the iphone..it'll be worth it IMO.

Yah, I agree with meg too, if you can wait, i'd save up and get the iphone. if I had at&t, I'd get one. LOL

I chose blackberry curve because I love it and want one!! My FIL has the LG Vu and it kinda sucks. My son and daughter have both played iwth it and said the keys are really touchy and according to my son he says the keys are to tiny to really use it (of course he has larger hands). Anyhow my daughter has a pantech phone although not sure of the model and it is ok. It is the one that slides both ways to reveal the regular number keys and then you flip it sideways and it has alpha/numeric keys on that side. It takes pretty nice pics for a phone though as she has printed a few from her phone up to 8x10 and they were not bad looking. I dont think that is teh particular model phone youre looking at though. The other ones I dont really know much about. I would not buy the Apple Iphone as I have heard some bad things about it. Of course there are those who loveeee it and have their own reasons. I would go to the store and look at the models and see how they feel and look at the individual features and decide from there personally.

I still have a gold Razr. My phone has to fit in my pocket and have the keypad protected, so I'm reluctant to get anything else.

Um, I know what a Blackberry is...that's about it. I have played with my brother's iPhone and loved it, but am not about to pay for his monthly plan. I always get whatever phone is free the day I re-up my plan... Guess I'm boring...

I love my iphone!! I can't imagine having another phone now and I have the old one--I sure would wait if I could to get one....I wish I had waited a few months and gotten the newer one, but that's ok

I'd so go for the saving for an iphone like Meg said. I don't have ATT or any interest of switching to them or I'd be getting one. That said I voted blackberry as that is what I'm getting to replace my pink Razr in April when I can. And I'm not getting pink this time so I can hand the phone down to the boy next time! LOL!

I have the Pantech and I really like it. I like the dual sliding. The phone feels good in my hand. The blackberrys feel too fat and too short to me after the Razr

Thanks, ladies! :) I really can't get the IPhone...I mean, technically I could, but I just can't justify spending that much on a phone right now. Don't get me wrong, I'd love to have one at some point, but with spring soccer and then tball coming up for DS and a new spring wardrobe needed for DD...well, there are just more practical uses for the money...kwim? That's why I only chose ones that were free after rebate (except the Blackberry and it's $50).

Oh, and I was wrong about a data plan...i don't have that. I think all he added was internet capability. I'm so clueless about all this. It's only like $15/month, so I know it's not the data one.

Sooooo...anyone else have opinions? I see the Blackberry is winning...but it's not 3G--does that matter?

Stacey, I really like some of the features of the Pantech.

Ugh...why does this have to be so hard? LOL!

I have the Matrix, not the Duo, so mine doens't have Window's Mobile. (it was free with rebate when I got it last month but I think they changed the promo) That doesn't seem to be preventing me from doing anything I want to do. I think I can't add the gmail application but I can still get to my mail from iGoogle.

We have AT&Ts media bundle with unlimited text, internet & messages. It's $30 a month. Data unlimited is just the web, no texts or IMs and it's $15

I am with AT&T and I am going to go get my new phone on Friday (after my rebate is in my account) I am getting a Samsung Propel. I would LOVE an iphone as well .... but I just can't right now.
