Help! Color off- Do you convert color profile for printing?

I have been using my printer at home and printing on matte photo paper (which seems more like cardstock to me) and things have looked good until I got to my current album (which I need to finish so I can get going on the July workshop).

Do you convert your LOs from RGB to CMYK for printing? The kit I'm using is this one:

It looks washed out when I print, and looks good on my monitor and I'm not sure what to do about it. Should I try printing it at a nearby photolab? I don't have CostCo, just our grocery store, CVS, Target, Walmart, etc.

Thanks for any help!

I've never had to convert my color profile...BUT, I have had that happen before and found that my printer, when I chose any type of paper other than regular paper, would automatically select ColorAdjust and just TOTALLY change the colors to what it thought it should be, lol. It was awful (one of Kristin's kits that is grey and shades of pink printed out with an AWFUL purple/fuschia tinge). Now that I figured out what was throwing my colors off, I always deselect it and it prints just fine.

The other thing may be that you're running low on ink...some printers go "off" on colors if the more ink you use - mine doesn't (thankfully)...it'll print correct colors right until the cartridge is empty, but some will decrease in the amount of ink they'll spit onto the paper, the more you use it.
