So nice of you to come visit Texas this weekend. I just wish you would pick a path and stay on it. It is hard to plan our weekend when you keep wavering and moving.

LOL Amanda!! That's exactly what my mom and dad have been saying. They live on the Gulf Coast.

We should be fine. We are far enough inland. The rest of my family is not.

Two of my brothers are under mandatory evacuations and are preparing to leave. One lives in Lake Jackson/Freeport and the other in Bay City. Both cities are on the coast.

My parents can't leave because my dad has a bunch of animal boarders and has to make sure the generator is running at the vet clinic. They live baout 45 minutes from Matagorda.

My grandparents are boarding up and leaving. Not much they can do about the cows and horses. lol They live about 20 minutes from the coast.

My grandmother is boarding up her house and taking her cats to my dad. She lives about 35 minutes from the coast.

I have not heard from my inlaws or extended family yet.

I started a thread about this, but I'll add here. LOL

My parents and brother and family are all mandatory evac. My mom just called from Houston with my SIL and their kids. They're heading north to my grandma's house.

I hope all of you in Texas and your family members will be safe. They are in my prayers

I'm in San Antonio, so the worst we should get *fingers crossed* is heavy rains/wind. We could really use the rain, perhaps not a gajillion inches of rain but some rain would be nice. I guess on second thought I should be careful for what I wish for huh

Kelly- your avatar is scaring me a tiny bit. That is why I refuse to do the yearbook photos. I might make myself scream.
