I'd so love to go back to school and get a doctorate in Curriculum and Instruction with an emphasis in Early Childhood Education. I feel like I'm too old to do the schoolwork now![]()

i wish i loved school as much as some of you! i am starting classes in the fall to finish my preeq's for the nursing program and i am looking forward to that about as much as i am looking forward to my first liver spots on my hands!
I have a BS in Biochemistry, MS in Biology and a Ph.D. in Pharmacology - the study of how drugs work and how they effect their targets. I did research on liver and heart systems for my dissertation.
I have my BS and it makes me giggle![]()
This is why I'm often thankful I technically have a BLA - Bachelor of Landscape Architecture. Being "Bla" is perhaps better than being BS!!![]()
I'm in my last year of Ph.D studies in clinical neuroscience. I use functional imaging to look at differences in how the brain processes emotion in healthy people vs. those with major depression. I'm really enjoying unraveling the story that's appearing in our analyses (this year will be spent mostly writing/publishing and preparing to defend my thesis), but I'm also looking forward to what's next. There are so many possibilities and it's pretty exciting.
Rochelle- If you have time, I'd really like to talk to you about your tenure-track position. I did my undergrad in psychology/biology and one of my advisors is a psychologist, so it's still my "first love".I'm originally from the upper Midwest and hope to move back there next year!
