how speed skaters and the like get into those skin tight outfits with those HUGE thighs?? :blink:
 
I would think they're made of some really stretchy spandex type fabric. :) One of the Canadian women's outfits was really cool...it had clear plastic over the thigh area!

I played volleyball for a long time and the strechy/skin tight shorts we wore were a beast to get into. I can't imagine it being PANTS!
 
you know what's sad? I turned the tv on at the beginning of his race and was trying to figure out if it was a girl or a guy for most of the time until he pulled his hood off when he messed up [my tv was muted cuz the baby was sleeping] The stuff [or absence, lol] made me think it was a woman racing!
 
Doesn't it take 20 or 30 minutes to get the swimming suits on...maybe these are the same??? Or maybe they are vaccum sealed in lol!

Anyhoo I'm just glad I don't have to wear one of those suckers lol!

The bobsledding suits seemed even worse. Did anyone else see the USA two-man bobsled team compete? Those outfits REALLY left nothing to the imagination. :blink:
 
k if we are going to start going there - really.. who came up with the whole "2 man luge" it seems very wrong on so many levels.

Yeah, I was thinking the same thing - apparently you don't have to be in great shape to fit in a bobsled. Who would have thought?

omg, those american bobsled dudes were tanks! lol. Im sure u need chunky legs for the running start bit, but what does the belly and back fat help with? lol

I was just watching this race. I was actually thinking that their suits were well designed because that "area" was black and therefore kinda masked the, um, boy bits. haha. But now that i think of it, maybe your right, maybe there wasnt alot to be masked...their skating on ice tho....must be cold....:p
I did feel bad for him getting disqualified tho...my mummy side came out when he was sitting on the side of the track looking like he was going to cry. i wanted to hug him.

oh and that 2 man luge is getting the biggest ribbing here in australia. Every time anyone mentions it on tv all the commentators just start laughing and making jokes.

haha i was just trying to picture my very "men should be manly" husband saying that to his best mate, and im nearly crying laughing. Seriously, there would be a trip to the emergency room for a broken nose i guarrantee. lol

OMG - did anyone see Jimmy Fallon's thank you note to the men's speed skaters tonight? He remarked on this very point about the uniforms leaving nothing to the imagination - it was funny!!!
