Have you ever lost pictures? Or kits?

I lost that one month of photos in my recent Vista reload...but now I'm looking for last year's halloween pictures to scrap and they're nowhere Boo! Hiss! They aren't in October 07 ...and I checked November and September to be sure too...It's so frustrating!

This isn't the first time this has happened...once I lost a kit into the void of nothingness too. it was a SSD kit too! Just POOF. A kit I can search for...a layout I can search for...but the photos are numbered and I wouldn't even know where to start.

what about if you searched by date? Do an advanced search for any JPEGS (or whatever file type your photos are) between 10-01-07 and 11-30-07 on your hard drive. It might have been accidentally uploaded somewhere else besides where you normally upload.

Yes, I have had this happen. They just disappear and they are never anywhere. I don't know how or why...but it is irritating.

Usually when that happens Ive accidently dragged it to another folder. Check all your photo folders, maybe it'll pop up in there.

yup, I lost a whole year of digi pics (ok, webcam pics) from my middle boy's first year. *sniff* Thankfully I have some actual film prints, cause otherwise I would have nothing.

Yes, I have,lol. Fortunately, I'd saved them (pics) on a CD before that happened. Utterly wierd.

I lost two kits, and I have no idea where they are! I have searched and searched my hard drive! I lost the Hush a Bye Dragon Fly (??? I think it's called) from MandaBean, and I miss Mayberry. I was sooooo sad!

I haven't lost pictures before but I lost an entire designer folder recently.

I haven't lost pics yet, except on my zip drive when it when qaput!!!! back in 2002....but I have LOST kits, but I think they just got unzipped ina different folder...bummer Lena..I agree witht he other girls, see if you can just search by date...don;t have any other ideas...and I have misplaced photos in folders that had nothing to do with the pictures!!! hope you find them!

I am missing the exact same pictures!!! Oct 07! I am sooo sad. I have the smaller versions from photobucket, but they wont work for scrapping. I think mine is lost from transferring all my files from the desktop to the new laptop.
