Ugh..we usually have ours done and filed by now but with DH deployed we're going to wait until he's home (on leave). I have all the paperwork we need and he has the know-how lol...I COULD do them myself..but BLAH..who wants to do that right? lol

I can't wait though b/c we get a pretty chunky return every year and this year we have TWO child credits and TWO dependants lol I'm pretty anxious to see what we get back.

Yeppers. I do them online myself. Ours are simple 1040 so if you can follow the number and the box, you can do it yourself without paying a CPA a small fortune. Depressing result, but at least we didn't have to pay in.

Yep, we filed ours online at taxact.com and already have our refund. Still waiting on the state refund though.

In Canada we have an extra couple months (or maybe just one month - we don't have to file until the end of April). I haven't received all my paperwork yet, but I *have* finished my books for the last year, so once I get the paperwork from my old boss, we should be good to take it in and have it looked at, at least.

oh so i don't owe this year. that's good news right.

i get 200 bucks back. thanks you old friggin bag if an uncle, sam.

But that's the way it should be, Lizzy. It's your money to begin with. Why should the gov't have free use of your money for a whole year without paying you interest?

We haven't done our taxes yet, but we're pretty sure we're withing the break-even range again. DH & I are of the mind that +/- $200 is the right amount to get back/owe. Last year we got a GINormous refund because I was having too much taken out of my check when dh was a full-time student. So we upped my deductions on the W-4, and now I take home quite a bit more because of it.

YES! Did them the very same day I received all our W2's! Since we're poor, we always get a sweeet return. This year we're paying off medical bills from Tyrel's surgery and completely paying off my credit card. It feels so nice to get out of debt.

Our accountant hasn't finished them yet. We normally have to pay due to DH being self-employed, so I'm in no hurry. lol

We haven't done ours. We get an automatic extension with hubby being deployed to Iraq. Even with the extension he will probably file them soon -- he keeps asking me for the mortgage info, but I just ignore him cuz it isn't on the top of my priorty list of things to do.

:) Eva
