Hard Drive

How big is your hard drive? I thought mine was a pretty good size but it looks like I only have a little bit of space available...I don't know why...I haven't even put much on my laptop so I'm a little confused...
 
I have two hard drives on my laptop. They're both 250GB, with 232 and 221GB available (from first ever start up). The C drive is nearly full, I'm actually working on cleaning it off now--my RAW files take up way too much space. I got a 1.5TB EHD since I also have a 500GB tower to back up. :thumbdown:
 
I've got 2 drives on my laptop - both 250 plus a 320 EHD and a few months back DH gave me a 1TB for my birthday. The 320 has all my photos - the current ones are on the laptop plus current digi stuff is on the latop and everything is backed up to the 1TB. I'm paranoid about losing my photos so I keep a copy of all of them - I figure I won't loose all my hard drives at once! Although just recently my friend had the C drive on her laptop die and while it was in being repaired she managed to drop her EHD! Thankfully all the data was able to be retrieved.

Anyway, I found my C drive gets full quite often and as I don't tend to store stuff on this drive (so that my computer can work faster) I knew it wasn't all my photos and digi stuff filling it up. So now I regularily do a disc clean up and delete the temporary files folder (right now I have 66.2GB in it!!!) I find whenever I've had a scrapping frenzy it fills up pretty quick and I need to empty it again. Hope this helps you.
 
320 on my HD, and 320 on each of my EHD I have hooked up to my laptop. One has photos on it and the other is digiscrap goodies. All of my layouts are backed up on Scrapping Simply, all my photos are on DVD's too and even a lot on my Flickr account, and then my digi scrap stuff is also on DVD's.

I have an old 500G EHD that has a lot of my old digi scrap stuff on it. I need to clean it out and do another back up of all my digiscrap supplies and put it on that!
 
I had a 500 GB EHD... but in the last year, my hubby purchased a 1 tera-byte server (I scrap on both Mac desktop and PC laptop, so I need access in both spots)... and a 1 tera-byte EHD, which is the back up to the server, and then that is fed up to Mozy (Mozy doesn't recognize personal servers)... yes, I'm incredible anal about loosing anything... :unsure: I have a long time to go with filling it up... we have about 450 GB left on the server, but that also includes my hubby's audio files for radio and a ba-gillion photos that I've taken... LOL!
 
Clear out your temporary files and cookies, and run a de-frag on it. That should help clear up some space.

I have a 250GB hard drive on the laptop, but only photos get backed up to that. Everything else goes on my 2 (now 3) EHD's. My small 250gb one is going to become a dedicated photo only backup, and then I have a 500gb and I just bought a 1TB drive (which should arrive tomorrow).
 
I have 320 GB on my laptop, 250 on my EHD, Terabyte shared drive and another terabyte on our office computer
 
I have:
- Memory stick 16 GB
- CUTE memory stick 2 GB
- Laptop: one hard drive 250 GB, 2nd hard drive 500 GB (pics & kits on 2nd drive)
- portable ehd 320 GB (all this stores is pics)
- Home EHD 500 GB (all this stores is pics)
- Home EHD 1.5 TB (this stores everything including pics)

Also writing to DVDs as I can. Have Mozy online but it's slower than frozen snot on a stick when you're trying to upload over 500 GB.
 
500 GB on my desktop plus 2 1TB EHD's and one 500 GB EHD (that I really don't use). We have 2 laptops in our house but I'm not sure what they are. I am guessing 250 GBs?
 
Is it bad that I don't know for sure?! :blink:

I *think* it had 320 GB before we added the 1 TB extra hard drive which is totally just for scrap stuff--layered files, layouts, designs, fonts, etc. :D
