Happy Veteran's Day to all my fellow veterans & their families! I can't believe this is the 3rd year I've actually been just a vet and no active duty. Time sure flies! I'm blessed that I never had to deploy, but very grateful for all of those that have had to make those that have had to pay that price, very thankful for all the men & women still defending our country now.

Hope you all get to enjoy this special day! I'll be spending with my favorite girl at the hospital while she gets chemo. We're almost finished though.

This is my 1st year as a vet and after working the last 2 days at the VA hospital with the older vets, I have so much more apprecation of everyone that has served! So thanks to my fellow vets and the ones still serving...and not to mention a HUGE THANKS to the WONDERFUL spouses that have to serve with us

Happy veteran's day to both of you, too. I'll spend my day working, but I will be thinking of all those I currently serve with and those who have in the past and especially those currently deployed.

We call it Remembrance Day here - Thank you for your service

Played the Last Post at work at 11am today, 11/11/11 . . had a minute's silence, remembering and being thankful . . I love Remembrance Day.

Also love the poem "For The Fallen" by Laurence Binyon, especially this famous part:

They shall grow not old, as we that are left grow old;

Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn.

At the going down of the sun and in the morning

We will remember them.
