Happy Veteran's Day

Thank you Vanessa for your service to our country!!!

Thank you goes from our family to all of our families who protect our country's freedom...and that includes the spouses too! We really appreciate you!

kinda wierd story but today, in '94, my grandpa died of a heart problem. Aidan's due date was November 7th. of course, following in his sisters footsteps, he was late. i went into labor a few days later and my mom was like "don't have him on veterans day, thats the same day grandpa died too" well, he didn't listen and he was indeed born on Veterans day, lol. Happy 3rd Birthday Aidan!

my dh (veteran) is excited about veterans getting to eat free in some places, lol. we're going later!

thank you to the other veterans! oh and to the spouses; thats a hard job!

Many thanks for your service Vanessa!
My thoughts are with all those who served, those who lost their lives defending this great country, and those currently serving to continue to protect the freedoms we so often take for granted. Special thanks to family members, for the hardships they endure while their loved ones are away.

I donated to Wounded Warriors this morning, and I signed up to adopt a soldier. I've been meaning to do both for some time now, but it feels like a nice tribute to ALL vets and service people to do it today.

Happy Veterans day to all the veterans out there! My DH said he didn't feel old enough to be a veteran, nevermind that he's technically one of two wars now. :D My FIL is also retired military, served two tours in Vietnam and earned a Purple Heart.

If you're looking for something nice to do, State Farm has a website where you can post a quick thank you to anyone who's been there for you. In honor of Veterans Day, for every thank you they receive between Nov 8th and Nov 14th, $1 will be donated to Fisher House, which is an organization that provides free lodging for military families whose loved ones are undergoing treatment at military or VA medical centers.

Happy veteran's Day to all of you that serve our great country!!! Thank you for all that you do!

We did the adopt a soldier program 3 years ago and it was wonderful. The young boy (only 19) that we had shared all of the goodies that I sent with his friend there who didn't really have much family. It felt so good every time I sent those packages. I need to do that again.
