Happy birthday Sharon!

Thanks! I am glad it's not a robotics day today! Free to do what I want (once homeschooling is done) ... have asked dh to BUILD me something for my birthday ... he says yes ... so guess we will be spending the night at home while he builds.:)

Happy Birthday! Hope you at least get to order in for dinner since you're staying home on your birthday! :)

I KNOW what my kids want for dinner today ... it's customer appreciation day at Little Caesars Pizza and they have hot and ready pepperoni and cheese pizzas for $3.99 LOL I would really like something a little better than that ... hmmm I'll tell dh "order in for dinner" was your idea ... hmmm might just go for that! Thanks for the idea!

Happy birthday!! So did you request he build you something specific, or is he surprising you?

I got this for Christmas from my mom and stepdad:
h05288.003

# One master serving spoon

Well the Rubbermaid dual layered silverware tray we have in the drawer is not NEAR big enough to hold 115 pieces plus my steak knives (which I have been wanting a wooden holder for those for umpteen years!) ... so the bigger things can go in the drawer below ... but I want a custom built dual layer silverware tray that fits in the drawer to hold all of this!!! ...including those steak knives!! Told dh this is what I want most of all ... but I want him to design it and totally build it TONIGHT ... otherwise he will take weeks or months as he gets distracted on other projects (i.e. robotics and Scouts)... he said he will!!! ...so...then I will wash up my silverware and have it ready to start using!

Hope hope!! Doesn't that sound like something really USEFUL?!

Happy Birthday Sharon! The silverware is beautiful. Would love to see a picture of the tray when you have it all done.

Happy birthday Sharon!! I'd love something useful like a drawer to hold my silverware for my birthday! Sounds like a fabulous idea!! Maybe that's what happens when we get older...those types of things sound like great ideas!! LOL (not that you're older or anything!! I'm sure you're still a few years younger than me)

Well we agreed on a simple one with just dividers* so he got it done rather quickly ... and then we went out to eat at Red Robin....yum!!!!!!! I even got him to make a simple "knife block" for the steak knives because I was afraid of someone sticking their hands in the drawer and getting cut! This is the first time in probably 20 years we have had the steak knives where we could SAFELY get to them! I even used my label maker and labeled the different sections ... and had a quick "get to know your silverware 101 class" for the whole family. ha ha

*the simpler the better with 4 males in the house taking turns doing the dishes ... don't you agree? ;)

The serving pieces fit in the drawer below that have similar dividers in them ... that also holds the measuring spoons and little knick knack things (i.e. soda can lids, etc.) in it. So I'm happy! Already filled it up with clean silverware! (and the first ds that moves out of the house will get the old silverware which was a nice set)

Oh Sharon that is so nice (& wonderful that it is already done and you can enjoy it)!

Sounds like you're having a good birthday

Well dh got the silverware tray finished and the family took me out to eat at Red Robin ... yummmm whiskey bbq burger and onion strings!! ...I even splurged and had a chocolate milk shake! I forgot to take a picture until we were walking out ... so the only pictures I have from my birthday are a picture of the silverware tray, the red robin statue and a pic outside the restaurant (kids were already in the van!) ... whoops.

dh gave me a really romatic mushy card that says "our love keeps getting better & better". BTW we will be celebrating our 26th wedding anniversary in May!
