Happy Anniversary to me...

Well-today is my Wedding Anniversary-and you know how the old cliche goes that the guy always forgets, well...I FORGOT and Scott didn't. I came up from the shower this morning and he was like...
"Is there anything you want to tell me?"
and I was like...
"Ummm, I got all the laundry caught up yesterday?"
and he was like...
"NO!"
so I tried again,
"Umm, Well, I spent $132 at Old Navy on clothes that the boys really didn't need?"
he replied...
"NO SHANNON! You do that kind of stuff all the time!, It's our anniversary today!"
OMG-I know I felt like a heel, I'm not sure how this day snuck up on me, or what I am now going to have to do to make it right with him, cause honestly, the wife is supposed to remember!
We have been married 7 years today.

Please don't let me forget that his birthday is next Sunday...LMBO!

LOL! That is too funny! Happy Anniversary Shannon. And remember all you have to so is dress up in something slinky and he'll forget you forgot! ;)

I must just have my husband trained cause for some reason he thinks our anniversary he is supposed to remember, he is supposed to buy me a present and flowers and I am just supposed to smile, say thank you and I love you too! LOL Like "thanks for putting up with me for year after year after year after year", lol.

Mine was on Saturday (5 years) and my present was a green light to re-do the office any way that I want... I'm so excited! Now I need to start looking around!
 
I forget EVERY year. In fact, the other day I got an email from DQ that said "HAPPY ANNIVERSARY" and I was like OMG, but then I realized my anniversary is in February. LOL

That is a great story....My DH starts asking me about a week before and acts like he does not know what the date is.....I never get anything for him either..if anything we go out to dinner and that is about it!!!! If it is a special one we may do a little something more (get your minds out of the gutter ladies!!!)

Sorry I missed you this morning. Our electricity went out, and well, you know why poor people have so many babies, right? Not much else to do without electricity...

anyhoo, hope I don't see you all day because you are having so much fun celebrating seven years of wedded bliss!

so funny you forgot! We talk about ours the week before trying to make plans so neither of us has forgotten yet. :)
 
This happens regularly in our house. We love each other dearly, we just don't get caught up in "events." In our house, we choose who says the family prayer based on the date...boys have odd days (dad in morning and DS at night) and girls have evens. So, then as we are reminding ourselves of the date (odd or even), we realize it's our anniversary.

And as a little bit of a disclaimer. It does fall in June...not one of those months where you are looking at the calendar every single day like you do during the school year.
 
OH my gosh, that is too funny! My husband would never forgive me (or at least he would rub it in that I forgot for the next 2 years!!)

How funny! Happy Anniversary and congrats on 7 years!

We'll have our 10th (TENTH!!!!!) in May. Makes me feel old.
 
I always forget whether ours is August 18 or 19. I just canNOT keep the date in my head. My DH always says "Oh, that's easy, it's Bill Clinton's birthday". Um, yeah, that helps.

LOL, happy anniversary! Don't feel bad, I was off by a day one time when we were on vacation and the tour guide was asking when we got married. Go figure, our DHs must have better memory than we do!
