Hand, Foot and Mouth Disease!!

Well we just got back from the ped's and 3 of my 4 kids have this and he said more then likely the 4th one will have it soon too :thumbdown: It's not the end of the world but man I'm hoping and praying I don't get it!!!! I talked to my OB and he said that I need to be really carefully I don't get dehydrated because it can cause pre-term labor and with my complete placenta previa that could spell BAD news for me!!! :blink: *UGH* it's been a long weekend and it's going to be an even longer week!!! I need a vacation!!!!
 
Oh no!! Yes, it's very contagious... but honestly I don't think there's much you can do other than hand-washing.

When Wesley had it, it lasted about a week and then was gone.

Hope they get past it soon!
 
Jeepers! Dom had this when he was a little feller... no fun! For the record, I never caught it... but I was attached to my bottle of Purell for a loooong time LOL
 
oh man, elizabeth!!! what a pain in the butt! i pray your kiddlets get better soon and you don't get it!! hugs!!!
 
I hope you don't get it girly!! Emma had it at the beginning of the school year and we had to be super careful around my best friend who was preggo. Hope all feel better soon!!
 
Sorry to read that 3 of your 4 children have Coxsackie Virus....My Grandson just got over this....Talk about a sick little boy who would not eat for 3 days and the last 2 of those days he wouldn't drink due to the blisters in his throat....So far his sister has not yet gotten it....

As the other gals mentioned, just make sure to wash your hands thoroughly and hopefully you will not get it....Unfortunately this is making the rounds all over....'Tis the season, I guess....
 
ugh thats the worst. It always sucks so bad when you have a lot of kids and 1 kid gets it. It just seems to trickle on down the line. Hopefully they all get better soon. Wash those hands and don't share drinks and food! GL
