haha I just almost barfed..

you're like stars
so.. I'm all light headed and blah with the sickies today.. I thought I was ok to get up and start dinner though.... .. ha!

So as you know I'm a veg.. I decided a long time ago not to make that decision for ce though.. so a couple times a week he asks for chicken, I deal .. make him the chicken etc. Anyway.. today we went to the market, and he asked me to get him beef.. just buying it was bad enough, lol..

but man oh man..... I just opened up the package and what not.. I haven't smelled raw red meat in ..... oh like a year.. ^_^ I was soooooo close to heaving on the food LOL.. and then I had to touch it and blah blah blah. Yeh it wasn't pretty. Thankfully ce wasn't in the room LOL LOL

I haven't been able to eat, touch or stand the smell of beef since I got pregnant...totally sympathizing with you right now!! :)

oh, that's rough. My cousin and her husband are vegetarian and they said that the smell of meat makes them dry-heave. That's awesome of you do not to impose it on your son though. You should get mom of the year award for that!

LOLLLLLZ... poor thing!

I was that way when I was pregnant could not stand the way alot of things smelled. Especially fried foods. I think its really great that you allow your son to make the choice of whether he wants to be a vegetarian though. I tried it back when I was a teenager but I dont like enough vegies to actually get enough nutricion LOL

Yikes La. I probably would do the same thing with tofu :p so I kinda sorta get what you mean. Red meat does smell horrid

LOL hey now.. tofu doesn't really smell like anything LOL. red meat is pretty strong ^_^ kid still loves the "toe-food" though so I luck out there.

and jessica.. sometimes I laugh at myself cause I have a loooooong list of veggies I hate *laughs* I've been a veg for about 4 yrs though (I was before I had ce too.. but pregnancy does strannge things to you).. I havent' keeled over yet though, so I think I'm getting enough nutrients LOL

I'd have a tough time with it...I like corn on the cob, canned green beans, mashed or baked potatoes, and occasionally I like cauliflower (but can only eat about a cups worth) or carrots dipped in peanut butter. That's it...it would be a very limited diet for me now wouldn't it? Lettuce is not my friend...digestive wise that is...even after gall bladder surgery.

I'm mainly chicken or turkey due to diet I started about a year and a half ago...occasionally beef but they taught me it is much harder for body to digest and get rid of than chicken and turkey.

That's really amazing of you to give your child a choice...although if my boys chose to be veg you would have to scrape me off the floor...because all they like is...ummm well "ketchup"...is that a vegetable? lol

I have been veggie for...17 years?... something like that. I would have no clue how to even cook meat! lol But I do understand how you feel La, most of my extended family are not veggie.

LOL .. I promise it's not all about eating lettuce. LOL there's alot to being a veg- to make sure yer balanced. Just eating veggies isnt' good for anyone :]

Another raw meat hater here.
I love me a good steak or some chicken but the raw is SOOO nasty!

my husband eats raw hamburger. I swear the first time I saw him do that I nearly puked. He sprinkles salt and pepper on it and just eats it :p

lmao we had a post about something similar a while ago... *la does not get it* LOL I still don't know how peeps don't get wicked sick from that.

i'm totally not a veg, but every once in a while i do the same thing. it will just hit me that it's flesh of a dead animal and i can feel the vomit in my throat.

not good.

Raw meat is truly disgusting! I can't stand the smell of hamburger cooking! It seriously makes me gag, so DH does it. I got REALLY bad when I was pregnant with Avalynne... I could not stand the sight, smell, texture or taste of any meat for the first 4 months or so. And after that it was only chicken, and DH had to cook it or I'd heave.
