Are you safe? Do you have somewhere to go and if you're in the path of Gustav are you getting the heck outta dodge? Check in and let us know you're ok. If you don't have family or friends to stay with, I bet there are people here with room for you ;), even though NC is kind of a long drive.

And the rest of us- we might wanna fill up the tanks before Monday. Gas prices could shoot up like last time if it hits any of the oil rigs down there.
 
We're inland, so it should only (crossing fingers) be a TS when it gets to us. My family is not coming up, though. I'm pretty pissed right now, honestly. They PROMISED me after Katrina that they would never stay through another one.
 
We're looking to get lucky with this one. Barring some weather system coming in to push it east, we'll likely not be terribly affected. We're prepared just in case because you never know. I'm just hoping it peters out nicely before it makes landfall wherever it does. Hope everyone stays safe!
 
Things are nuts here right now! My husband's store had to order and extra truck of food, water, etc today. Walmart has the cops watching the doors at all hours, and they're completely out of everything.:thumbdown:

Hey girlie---seriously---I know the coast isnt good right now DH and I went through Katrina and Rita and lost everything---tried to go home 3 different times and it didn't work out we just bought a house in Nashville, Tn--SO anyone who is heading north---there is a FREE PLACE TO STAY---as long as you aren't allergic to dogs--or a child :)) please feel free to PM me....This just makes my heart ache--we still have DH's family down there who have all evacuated to atlanta (why i have NO idea--they were susposed to come here...but they lack vechiles so they went with another person..)so like i said FREE PLACE TO STAY....please PM ME...no questions asked :)
