Guess what my dh is building?!

That's awesome!! Just curious: how many scrapbook albums do you own? Would love to see a photo when they are all up!

Are you still paper scrapping or only digi now?

I actually have no idea how many I own...I've never counted...and I'm not caught up!!

I gave up paper scrapping ... I tried about a year ago to make myself go down and paper scrap (I had a whole room dedicated to paper scrapping...so tons of supplies!)...I spent 2 days trying to scrap...I came back upstairs and scanned the negatives...and rescrapped those pages in digi! I'm totally hooked on digi!

I sold most of my supplies earlier this year at a LSS (Local Scrapbook Store) and was given a "gift certificate" to the store in the amount I earned (over $500). I have used my credit to purchase a Silhouette SD machine...which I haven't used a whole lot yet because I just don't care to do much outside of digi. I will use it a lot with the Robotics team this fall though. I do a teensy bit of hybrid...teensy. It basically has to be of USE to me to get me to do it. lol I'll probably use it most for cards.

I will definitely be taking a picture when I get it all stocked!! Although dh may have a cow when he sees just how many scrapbooks I DO OWN! I do make scrapbooks for EACH of my 3 boys...they have an "every day" scrapbook, vacation, Disney (new! no layouts inside yet), a Cub and Boy Scout scrapbook, individual sports (Brian has 5 basketball, 1 bowling, and 1 baseball), and school scrapbooks.

Heck to give you an idea...I have 12 recipe (6x6") scrapbooks alone! :)

How exciting!

I'm very excited! At first we talked about a stand alone bookcase...but since all my scrapbooks have different colored spines and such...it would be very "distracting" to look at...then we thought about doors on it...but then the easiest was just to build an extra closet basically in a wasted area of space...and really make use of it!

He just taped the drywall and is spackling it. Jeesh I can't wait!

If you own already 12 recipe books, thinking about the fact you have 3 kids and you've been scrapbooking for 16 years...... LOL I guess you'll have lots of books ;)

I am still in the middle about paper scrapping... I do get the urge to do some paper scrapping quite often, but when I start I never am satisfied with what I come up with. I am way faster with digi scrapping and mostly I am happy with the result.
I still need to scrap tons of analog photo's so that will help me to get rid of my stack of goodies.
But I guess mayor part is I need to get of my perfectionisme horse because to be honest I think that's the problem. If I show my friends what I made with paper they adore it, my boys and hubby as well and that's the important part, isn't it?
I need to stop comparing myself with others :)

How wonderful Sharon! When we bought our house 3 years ago, we had these empty media alcoves. For Christmas one year, my BIL put shelves in them, making a shelf big enough for my albums. I just love it!!!!!

So fun Sharon! That will be WONDERFUL!! Storage space is always valuable, especially for such great things as scrapbooks!! ENJOY IT!!
