What a great gift! I have the S6 Lite and love it. Writing with the stylus is a lot faster for me than typing on a tablet keyboard. There's so much you can do with them (and I'm sure more with yours than mine) but I'm boring and I mostly use mine for school: reading digital textbooks, participating in online sessions while I use my computer for taking notes and accessing files, and taking notes in classrooms where there's no plug for my laptop.
