It's been a long time since this has happened...got almost finished with a LO when PS froze up and I had to reboot. Lost all my work because I forgot to save as I went. :crying: Since it's so late, I guess I'll start over tomorrow. Ok, rant over...thank you and goodnight. :p
 
I feel for you Laura. That's happened to me too. Tell hubby you have to get CS6. I hear it has a feature that automatically retrieves your work if the computer crashes/closes down without you saving anything.
 
The fuction Jacinda mentioned is truly amazing. One of the best things - if not the best - in CS6. What I loved about this release is that they incorporated small things like this that make your everyday scrapping easier on top of the wow design functions.

It used to happen to me that I lost a file (it was usually my fault, because I tend to forget to save it initially and work with Untitled-1 for three hours) and Auto-Save has been a life saver in this.
 
Oh yeah. My version of PSE will do this regularly if I don't save from the start of a page. It's like a sadistic sixth sense they programmed into it.
 
Oh no!! That has only happened to me a couple times, but oh my goodness I'm terrified of it happening again!!
 
Oh no - isn't that so frustrating! But then I think the redo of the layout is even better than the first one! ;)

Oh you ladies - you are killing me about CS6... I would upgrade just for that autosave feature too! I need a money tree!

Thats what I do, I am always doing a cmd+s ... Ive lost way tooooo many layouts, I learned the hard way sadly!
 
I usually try to save at least a few time, don't know why I ignored that this time. I really need to upgrade from CS3. lol
 
that sucks...I have had that happen and it sucks...I learned the hard way and save every few steps~
