i am very mad at my uncooperative children who refuse to go shopping.

i am going to ignore them.

when they want food, HA, I told them we didn't have any (hence need for shopping). they can each have a mini box of nature's candy, which is pretty much the only thing left around here.

:cursing:

(i'm trying to work myself up into a real mad mood so that I will clean. I seem to clean better when I am very very mad)

hmmm, I forgot about grocery delivery . . .

I did it a few times when preggers with DD (I was on bedrest). Perhaps I should look into it again.

oh my house will never be clean. no matter how mad I get.:glare:

Why don't you call my friend John? Some call him Papa. :p

That'll take care of today at least.

mimi, i can just hear you grumbling. k, now make everyone get their shoes on and go shopping, they get no choice. and if you still don't make it out the door i hope that extra little bit of anger gets the floors mopped.

:p

bwhahahahaha. i wonder if there is one around here . . .

this is the biggest problem with children I think -- their constant need for food.

i have no energy to force them. and now my desire to go shopping has been replaced by my desire to make them very miserable @ home.

You WONDER? Unless you moved into your house a month ago, there is NO EXCUSE for not knowing whether you have a PJ close by!!

BTW, do NOT order the new whole wheat crust. Blegh. Even my wannabe crunchy BF did not like it.

I know what you mean. My kids are complaining that there isn't any food in the house when what they really mean is that there isn't any GOOD food in the house. LOL

Oh Mimi, I feel your pain...getting L.J. just convinced to leave for the store is so much work that I almost don't care if we eat at all. I soooo wish we had delivery here.

I'm counting down the days until July 21st when he starts preschool 3 days a week so I can shop without a fuss. :)

My girls LOVE to go shopping, even if it's just for groceries or to Target lol! I have the opposite problem cause they throw a fit when I tell them I'm going grocery shopping alone & they are staying home with Daddy!

Derrick is the same way. Rhett is too young to care yet...

i took a nap. my 2nd of the day.

hmm maybe I am getting sick.
or menopausal?

or shouldn't have stayed up until 2:30am?

:p

i think i will make my kids go to bed @ 6pm w/o any dinner so I can watch 27 Dresses. or SYTYCD. (i'm dreaming obviously. my kids will not go to bed if there is a hint of daylight)

thank you everyone for putting up with my whininiess.

The whole wheat crust without sauce is the only way I'm allowed pizza right now... gestational diabetes sucks.

And yes, Mimi... the constant feeding gets old after about 18 months. :glare: I have things to do... challenges to meet... coupons to earn...
and they want dinner. hmmph.

Oh ... I want to call the Papa called John!!! (whining here) I wish we had one. Now I want to call Pizza Hut or something, LOL. I wonder if the kids could wait that long??? Hmmmm.

That is interesting about the house cleaning. See, I just wish someone could take my kids away for a few hours so that I can clean ALL BY MYSELF. It is so infuriating to be trying to clean the house and having it destroyed behind me as I work. :p

that's why i don't even bother anymore.

27 Dresses was cute. I watched it 3 times before my DH took it back to Blockbuster. It wasn't one I would want to buy, but it was cute. :)

I am lost on SYTYCD ... but that's ok.

Good luck tonight!

aww bummer about the GD. I feel your pain b/c i have type 2 (and am very bad about managing it ). Somehow though my kiddos turned out okay.

Is it bad that I have a 25 year old fiancee who acts like a small child when it comes to food?

Chicken? I don't WANT chicken. We just had chicken 7 days ago, I do NOT want more chicken. What is up with you and the chicken?! No! I just want PIZZA!!

::sigh::

ROFL!

i shouldn't laugh. I have the palate of a 4yo.

Jordan sucks. I'm learning to come to terms wtih the fact that I'm likely to eat the same 5 meals for the rest of my life.

I said what do you want then? We had chicken sunday, and spaghetti last night, and you're making steak tomorrow?! What does that leave?! CHICKEN! BAH!

What really stinks is that I'm craving a good pork chop right now. But it'll have to wait til next week.

turkey? fish? tofu?

We eat turkey sandwiches almost every day at work (work together, so we just buy a pound of lunch meat and make sammies at work).
He's not big on fish. I would've liked to get some frozen shrimp and do garlic shrimp pasta, but nooooooooo why would we have shrimp in the house.

I've never had tofu and I don't ever plan on it, lol.

My 2 yo is absolutely crazy in the grocery store and in many other public environments, I kid you not. She's the little girl that people come up to me and say, "She ran over there" and everyone feels sorry for me. (see this layout to see what I mean, lol.) And she's usually strapped in a cart or stroller or in a sling and she still gets away almost every time! Out of sheer desperation and fatigue and realizing I was coming home without half the stuff I wanted or had to drag my poor dh along who would wheel the girls in circles around the store (because they don't want to stay home because they want balloons and cookies, what the heck were the grocery stores thinking when they came up with that idea to entice young children? :cursing: ;))...

Anyway, I now order my groceries online and have my dh pick them up on the way home from work. I pay $18/month for unlimited orders, and they even take coupons. I don't think I would do this forever but for right now, it is worth it! Not having food in the house was costing us $$!

i'm sorry, i am LOLing.

that is cool that your DH can pick up your ordered groceries.

on the subject of things stores do to entice children -- I HATE those character shopping carts! the big ones shaped like trucks, whales, etc and the ones with little TVs in them.

Yeah the stores around here have the carts that look like cars and they are a pain to push... that used to work for awhile to actually be able to shop but now the girls pick on each other and I get distracted and run into people. We did have to go on Sunday to pick up stuff and I almost crashed into a shelf of Ragu sauce, that would have been a lovely mess! LOL

Once when I was pregnant we went to a Meijer's that had those TV cars so I could walk around and put our then 2 yo in there... other than that I haven't used those.

My 4 yo is not really bad to have along with me, really it's my absolutely crazy 2 yo. She really is nutso sometimes. And she was such a mellow baby!

Yes, but at least yours don't need food AND your lap. That is the problem with babies, the constant need for attention. That and the waking up in the middle of the night and refusing to go back to sleep and then expecting mom to be nice. Seriously, nice?

I have the opposite thing at my house, it is a treat when I get to go shopping by myself!! 1 mom + 3 kids = 1.5 hours just to get a few groceries, LOL
C

I have a babysitter now so I get to go by myself often....LOVE IT!!!! I hear ya about the no food thing though, having 4 boys and one that eats me out of house and home is crazy...I am talking at least $150-$200 a week sometimes.......HATE IT!!! I rarely buy junk food though, I am lucky that my kids really enjoy fruit and veggies more than cookies and crap...shocking as that may be!!!!

I am with you too about the getting mad and cleaning thing too....I put on my player and ignore the kids and clean like a maniac!!!!

Hope all is better for you now Meems!!!
