I got the WD Passport Elite from Costco 320 GB. Right now I am formatting it to NTFS. Why? i really don't know LOL, except that I remember doing it to my first Passport. And my laptop is NTFS. I have no idea what NTFS or FAT32 mean.

Anyway, I am excited! Ahhh, more HD space :wub:. I hope I have better luck than Joan did.

Current dilemma . . . should I copy stuff from my first EHD to the new one? or use plug them both in? But that gets kind of awkward with a laptop on my lap. Maybe I will just copy over CT kits and kits I'm likely to use . . .

i should have picked quick format I guess. it's taking FOREVER to format :blink:
 
Thanks for the reminder!! I was going to order some tires from them today - and get $60 in Costco cash - that would be immediately used for a new EHD :thumbup:
 
Woot! I could have changed the formatting on mine, but saw a note saying that if it was done wrong things could get seriously messed up on my computer, so I opted for a bit less space,lol. Maybe we all should buy stock in ehd companies,lol.
 
Yay you finally got it! I should have formatted mine too before I started using it, it's FAT32 and instead of the full 250gb I only have 232gb of space available.
