Good-bye Hello

So I tried to sign up for a new Hello account per Sara's idea.

and this is the message I got!

All good things come to an end. So it is with sadness that we say goodbye to Hello.
Hello will be shut down on May 15th.
We originally embarked on a mission to make photo sharing easier and more fun with Hello. We plan to keep carrying that torch in new projects to come.
We hope that you continue to enjoy the other sharing products Google offers including Picasa, Picasa Web Albums and Google Talk.

ACK! What in the ham-sandwich am I supposed to do now? OMG how will I SURIVIVE? lol What's goober and how does it work? Can you share pictures?
 
oh no, that's terrible news! i don't like goober, either, because it doesn't pop up when my friend talks. I have to move my mouse all the way down there and click on it just to see if it's something i need to reply to or if it's just lol. kwim? such a pain.

Google Talk, huh? Well, if that's where mimi is, that's where i want to be!

I tried Goober. I really disliked it. It is still on the computer but I won't use it. I am really upset right now!

Nooooooooooooooooooooooooo!!!! This would explain why I had a bloody-heck of a time fixing Hello this week. It was down for 2 weeks before I was finally able to repair it. GAH! What on earth will I do w/o Hello????

So, are we trying Goober or Google? Man, I'm pissed!
 
Ok, here's a problem... I don't use my gmail acct for ANYTHING. I only had to sign up for it in the first place for a Google group I was part of. So, 1/2 of the features will be useless to me, or I'll have to try to switch from Yahoo to Gmail, which I'm not willing to do. I've used my Yahoo acct. for, gosh, 10-11 years now.
 
I'm gonna install google talk here in a bit...I have a garage sale to get ready for but DANG...I can't stop scrapping.
 
Lemme know what everyone is using, and I'll do that, lol. I'm easy like that.

I have a slight obsession with gmail. If you're not careful, I'll try and talk every single one of you into getting an account.

just try it for the google talk!

(personally i like gmail better than yahoo)
 
google talk doesn't have a cool screen shot feature (as far as I can tell). does allow file sharing supposedly
 
I seriously want to CRY!!! I have goober installed but I'm not a fan. I LOVE HELLO!!!! Seriously, if all the digi girls banned together, they'd hear us, wouldn't they?

That is sad...Let us know about google talk though. I did not know about it..I am a Yahoo IM girl myself but I am willing to try anything!!!! Isn't there a chat feature on Facebook?????

I still can't install Goober. The download file is corrupt or something and their support forums are in German (?).

I use Google chat somewhat, but it doesn't do anywhere NEAR what I want it to.

This is not a happy day.
 
Ok, we all so need to start a petition!!!!! This is blasphemous!! I am so in love with Hello!! That Goober chat is super blech!!! I am so annoyed right now about this... which is silly because it is just a chat feature but WTF?? I can't see any reaon why Google's uber-billion $$$ empire can't keep this going.

I use the gmail IM a little bit but not sure if that is what ya'll are referring to with google chat... b/c I know you can't share pics with that...
