LOL. My 6 yo son is really into them and we just figured out how to "play" the official way yesterday. Each player puts one of their Bakugan cards out in the playing area (floor), then you take turns rolling the Bakugan balls at the cards. If they open up on the cards (the metal in the cards opens the magnets somehow), you can win the cards. Or if each player has a ball that opens on the same card, there's a battle (no fighting -- you just count up the number of points on the ball plus the amount for that type of ball that's written on the card). It's actually kinda good math practice! The downside is that it's tough to get the balls to really roll onto and open on the card -- we had to basically just nudge them onto the cards -- kinda cheating to get it to work. Still, my son loves to play with the stuff even without playing the real game. Anyhow, to play the official game, you need at least 6 cards and 6 Bakugans.
