No wonder I never wanted to do this! I'm telling myself to be grateful that I'm in the bakery but there are some parts of this job that are aggravating and exhausting. :thumbdown: Part of my job is to prep everything that needs to be baked the following morning and OH MY GAWD it can get confusing. And I have to find everything in the right boxes and move things around and the freezer room is a joke of a mess, I can't tell what's what and end up moving boxes all over (which, frozen dough is heavy ya'll) just to find what I need.

Remind me that this will get easier!

The first few days, weeks, months ... are always difficult. Just remember to be forgiving of yourself. There is a learning curve to any job and getting into a routine takes time. I've been working continuously for 25 years (minus maternity leave and a 6 month stint I had when my youngest was 2) and I still don't love it every day, but most days are palatable. Do you like the people you work with?

Welcome to adult life. It doesn't necessarily get easier, but as your body and mind adapts, it gets less miserable.

Yes, it will get better. Transition is so hard. It just drains you. Learning to do new things is like starting to exercise after years of being lazy; you nearly die at first, then it gets easier and eventually you think, "Maybe I'll run an extra mile today." I mean, except not me. I would never run an extra mile, but eventually I think, "It's nice to be able to exercise and not feel like I'm dying every time."

There are two that I like, yes. Sadly everyone tends to be really negative. I wasn't expecting that. I don't want to be negative about my work so I'll need to keep myself in check.
