Gel Nail Polish

hey girls, i LOVE this stuff but now it is time to take it off and i can't get it off. what in the world do you use to get it off? i had my nails painted with it and they have grown out and one nail chipped last night after being on for 3 weeks so now it is time to take it off. any advice?
 
I have mine removed..it's like $4 at the salon I go to (or free if I get another application there but I can paint them myself free lol)

You can try soaking then use a cuticle tool thingy and "push" them off but be careful not to damage your nail. I personally would pay to have them removed. What brand did you use?
 
i had them done while i was in hutch. no salon around here does them and i don't really want to drive an hour to have them removed. i am going to try to do it myself since i don't want them painted with gel again for a while...LOL.
 
I LOVE the gel too but i use my real nails and have been told to let them rest a week to 2 weeks inbetween the gel paintings. do you use your real nails?
 
You need to soak it off in acetone. I guess you could use polish remover with acetone, or just look for some at a supply store. I soaked mine for like 10 minutes, and then scraped with one of my fingernails, put them back in and soak for another 10, and repeat. YOu might need to use a gentle file to get off the extra.

I have mine done at the salon. I have it done on my real nails and I don't need to wait anytime in between. We take one off and put another on. I love it!
 
My Wal-Mart has a salon that does these nails. I have been thinking of having it done. I like to have my nails looking pretty, but my gun makes a mess of my hands so I never do. I had been thinking this might work. Glad to hear so much about it.
 
i would love it if our wm salon did nails but they only do hair :( i did fine acetone there :) I am going to kc later this week so i am planning to get my nails done again there :)
