Ok I really need to rant and my two kiddos are just not "good enough" listeners for this LOL!
A few weeks ago my neighbor got backed into by the garbage truck/recycling truck. Her car was totaled but she was fine. We live on the end of a street that is a dead end. So the truck comes in and goes down our side (South side) and then backs up and then backs down the other side (North side) to pick up the other side.
Well we just got a letter today stating that now we have to only put our cans on the North side (across the street from me) because the garbage truck has to back up. I just find this soooooo irritating. Mostly because I think it is a knee jerk reaction to the accident, which was caused by the driver backing up too fast (which they do a lot and I give them a WIDE bearth).
So now, I have to THREE times a week take my can out to put in front of my neighbors house. I have no control over who parks there and when, and they only (ha I say only!) have a two car garage which they use so no cans in front of their driveway (like I put ours since we have room). They also asked that people not park on the street on garbage days but I say again, this is three days a week (two garbage, one recycling yard debris) so the likelihood of that is not gonna happen. Or that means that I'm gonna have people constantly parked in front of my house.
And on top of this they STILL have to back down the street, so other than making my life more complicated and reducing the amount the driver has to drive by a little, it just doesn't make sense.
Its just little things like this that totally drive me crazy, but really I know they wouldn't do a thing if I called to complain! And other than taking the trash to the dump ourselves, there is no other choice!
