We did this once awhile back and it cracked me up, so get this...

Eden (13) wanted me to take her to Toronto (short drive for us) with a friend to some Korean expo next month. I told her it sounds fun, but I haven't been to Canada since they changed the law and I'd have to have a passport. She says, "I thought you had a passport."

Me: Nope. I never got one.

Eden: But... you just went to New Mexico last week.

I've got a similar "duh moment" to share courtesy of my DD. We were driving to my mom's a few weeks ago (She lives in a rural area, so you have to go through a lot of other rural areas to get there) when we passed a sign that read "Poultry Fest." I jokingly turned to my daughter and asked if she wanted to attend the Poultry Fest, to which she replied, "As long as I can get some bacon." Ummm...that would be pork, not poultry, sweetheart. :eek::D
 
@Kendall LOL! It is a little worrisome, isn't it? Like, "Please tell me you don't say stuff like that in public." Ha!

I blame the fact that their teenage brains aren't fully developed yet. It's a good excuse at least. :p

It is. I cringe at the ignorant things I said when I was a teen... and they were a lot worse than confusing chickens with pigs. LOL!
 
This morning my oldest was getting ready for school and needed to get dressed up - he is presenting a project to the superintendent of the district for a new playground design (in one of his classes they worked in pairs/groups to design a new playground their school needs from the ground up, the whole thing including all the safety stuff, costs, materials, etc. and had to do computer sketch ups, etc. pretty impressive - anyway his group's was one of the 3 finalist) So he was wearing a tie - and says as we were trying to get it tied (thank goodness for YouTube cause dad had already left for work!) "So basically it's a noose for your neck"
 
ROFL! Too funny! He's right about the noose! And hey, who ever uses the word poultry?? New Mexico does have Mexico in it, right? LOL
 
I live in NEW MEXICO and yes, "Mexico" is in it and it amazes me how many of my own friends from 'out of state' think I live in another country...then again, so does Donald Trump and that worries me ROFL.....
 
I've got one from yesterday. I put some iodine on my eczema cuts on my fingers, then came to nap with my son. He saw my hands and he said 'hey, why do you have a lot of sauce on your hands?'
 
OMG I love these!

We were eating at a Mexican restaurant and my six year old son asked me why they were speaking Chinese. I told him they were speaking Spanish and to hush!

Last night my husband was using his tiller. Cole asked, Why his dad had to use that 1987 ancient tiller. (I was born in 83! Boy did I feel old then!)
 
Here's one from my 5 year-old son last night. It was his turn to choose a dinner meal and he took great thought in figuring out what we would be eating...

"Mum, I thought of what we're going to have for dinner"

(What's that?)

"Pasta!"

(Sounds good)

"... We put the pasta bowl in the middle of the table and then we break up ten Easter eggs and put them on top of the pasta. It's chocolate pasta - and it's my choice!"
