Fries with ...

I grew up with gravy on my french fries but I'm from the Upper Penninsula of Michigan which may as well be Canada! :p

Mayo or ketchup, or mayo and ketchup combined, or tartar, or... I like it lots of ways.

Here we eat fries with grated feta cheese on top. I don't usually dip them but when I do, it's ketchup.

I am from the Netherlands :) so a kroket or frikandell needs to go with it
they have a new thing on the frikandell that is really strange it is mayo with discodip like small candy sprinkle you put on cupcakes but i am afraid to try it

I know poutine is a canadian thing.. but is gravy and fries not a thing in the states either?

It is here in Maine Kristin - but then we're mistaken for being part of Canada a lot of the time  (seriously, flatlanders will often say, "I thought Maine was part of Canada"). I don't care for gravy on anything though, so vinegar all the way for fries.

Usually if they're salty enough then plain. Occasionally ketchup or ranch. At Burger King I like the zesty onion rings sauce for my fries. At Wendy's then in the frosty. At SteaknShake then cheese sauce. Everywhere else usually plain.

Jup, no gonna try the discodel. Sprinkles don't go with a frikandel...

I usually eat my fries with ketchup. Even though I'm Dutch, I prefer ketchup over mayo.

i saw that on tv last monday with ruben nicolai.
looks strange.
ill take a frikandel speciaal instead :)

If the fries are really good, I usually just eat them plain. Occasionally I like ketchup or ranch. And all of the yes to fries dipped in a Frosty. My family thinks it's the weirdest thing ever, but they don't know what they're missing!

I forgot to say gravy on fries. But a lot of restaurants, especially fast food restaurants, have crappy gravy. It's too watery or tasteless. Or they put in way too much salt. But a good gravy is like heaven with fries!

When I was a kid I LOVED A&W's gravy BECAUSE of how salty it was.. hahaha

I can't actually remember the last time I had gravy with fries though since i've been trying to be better about that sorta stuff.

I splurge on dipping sauce or gravy b/c I don't eat potatoes all the time, and fries only a few times a month.

I eat my fries with BBQ sauce. But if they're from McDonalds, then dipping them into their soft serve icecream is the best! (a sweet/salty hit)

Well it had been a mixture of ketchup and mustard or frosty until now. No more ketchup for me though as apparently I have developed an allergy to tomatoes - so I think I will have to try ranch or honey mustard if I want to dip them from now on. A lot of times I like them plain though - unless of course they are fat fries then I really prefer to dip them. Cheese is always a good choice in my book as long as it is real cheese and not fake cheese.

Ranch or "spread" from In N Out! YUM!
The BEST fries are at Cafe Orleans in Disneyland - they sprinkle garlic and parmesan on them and give a spicy mayo dipping sauce! Oh my!! :)

I prefer mine with mayonaise, but will eat them with ketcup or bare if I can't have mayo. Something I picked up in France and it's delicious. Every one I meet thinks it's the weirdest thing though :)

Ketchup.... unless it's take out... like McD's needs to be dipped in their sweet n sour sauce, and Wendy's needs to be dipped in a Frosty.
