For those badass chicks with nose piercings..

..I have just a couple questions.

1. Do you regret it?
2. Did it hurt? If so..on a scale of 1 to 5..how much?
3. If you decided to remove it, how long did it take before the hole grew up, IF it did?
4. If it grew up, was there a scar?

Anything else?

Apparently I'd be alot hotter with a nose ring.
 
Can I just say --- OWWWWWWW???

My SIL did hers by herself 3 years ago and still loves it. But to hear her tell, it hurt like a 10 on your scale. Again, she did it herself. :)

But she loves it!

1. Do you regret it? Not at ALL!!! I got it 2 months after DS was born...if I could change anything it would be to wait bc it kept getting infected bc he kept bumping it...but i love it!
2. Did it hurt? If so..on a scale of 1 to 5..how much? eh I say a 2...basically it made my eyes water and there was a little pinch
3. If you decided to remove it, how long did it take before the hole grew up, IF it did? I have no idea haha I have never removed it!
4. If it grew up, was there a scar? n/a
 
1. Do you regret it? no. but mine didn't take, they only used a stud in mine and it wouldn't stay in and it got infected and didn't work

2. Did it hurt? If so..on a scale of 1 to 5..how much? 3 I guess? it wasn't so bad. I remember it hurt a bit more after the actual piercing. My eyes watered but the lady who did that said in all her time she had only had two people who's eyes didn't water and that there is a nerve reaction to it.. anyways no not that bad.

3. If you decided to remove it, how long did it take before the hole grew up, IF it did? um not long? I had it done 3 years ago I guess and it only lasted for maybe 2 weeks before i gave up trying to keep putting it in so maybe had it actually stayed in and then removed it it would have taken awhile to grow in

4. If it grew up, was there a scar? i don't have a scar
 
Ooooh Manda! You should totally do it!! I think tiny little noserings are so hot! My little sister (who's a total hottie) has an adorable little tiny nose ring (stud) and half the time people don't even *notice* it until she takes it out (she's a kindergarten teacher so she can't wear it at school). She's had hers for several years and she loves it. Doesn't regret it at all. And says it didn't hurt as bad as her belly button did. :)

I wanted to get mine done for a long time. I never did though and I just cant justify getting it done now with money being kinda tight. I got my tongue done a few years ago and had three piercings in each ear. Ive heard some people say it hurts really badly and some say it didnt hurt at all. I can tell you I came home one day and found my teenage daughter had pierced hers by herself (I could have strangled her!!!) Hers did not scar and she said it did not hurt at all.
 
1. Do you regret it?...I never regreted it when I had it, I sooo wish I still had it though. :(
2. Did it hurt? If so..on a scale of 1 to 5..how much? I personally don't think it hurt...I've had both my nipples pierced and that believe it or not wasn't bad either. I think I have a higher tollerance for pain. I know I've heard some say that their nose hurt really bad. Yea your nose might be sore after wards but it old hurts for a few seconds when getting it pierced. :)
3. If you decided to remove it, how long did it take before the hole grew up, IF it did?
4. If it grew up, was there a scar? I fortunately don't have a scar there at all. That is the one great thing about piercings..if you decided you no longer like it you can take it out and be done with it. LOL

Anything else? hmmm....nothing that I can think of at the moment. i think you really should do it. :D
 
i'm getting mine done this week!!! i've wanted one for a few years now!! yay to the piercing rebellion!
 
Ohhh I've wanted to get one for so many years now and never could because of my job but now that I'm a SAHM I want to do it so badly!
 
I have had mine for 2 years now and dont regret it :)

As for the pain, i'd say a 4. It really hurt for me!!! I had my belly buttton done 5 years before, and didnt feel that one bit. Maybe I was expecting the nose to be the same, but yeah.. I wont be letting it close up any time soon! I did get it done by a needle, rather than the gun, so I dont know if that makes a difference? Although, the nose wasn't anywhere near as bad as my lower back tattoo... that gets a 6!

I have a pretty gold ring through mine at the moment :) I love it to bits!!
 
I don't have mine done, but my little sister and MY MOM(!!!), LOL, got theirs both done last summer and they LOVE it. The dude who did theirs gave them a fairly big ring and told them they had to wear the ring for so long(I forget period of time) before they could change it out. Both said it didn't hurt, except got infected at first. They don't have any problems with them now and usually wear a tiny sparkly something. My mom was super embarassed with the ugly hoop they gave her at first, but even she's happy with it still.
 
Ok, this may sounds silly from a girl with 3 tatoos and silicon boobs, but I'm not into piercings.
And the posibility of having anything permantly on my nose makes me shiver (sp) of course, I suffer of allergies and I'm scrambling my nose half of the day, so I can't stand even a kiss in my nose.... but I've seen some that looks cute. It all depends on the nose and the size of the piercing
 
It hurt worse than my tongue and navel, but less than my ear cartilage.
I don't regret it at all.
I wouldn't get it if you're considering a baby in a couple of years, mine kept grabbing at my piercings, so I let them close.
No scar, and it only took a couple of weeks to close.

I'm going to get it redone in a couple of years.
 
how long before the redness was gone completely? i want to get mine tomorrow but don't want an irritated nose for my 10 year hs reunion next weekend.
 
I use to have one, took it out about 5 years ago I think!!

1. Mine hurt because the stupid lady used a gun and the back wouldn't go on so she had to do it three times! It swelled up, but only hurt for a few hours.

2. The hole closed up pretty quick when i removed it and unless you are looking REALLY close to my nose, you can't see a thing!

3. Nope, don't regret. In fact I have been toying with the idea of getting a new one in the indentation under my lower lip!
 
Well Lizzy it really depends...mine took awhile bc my DS kept hitting it...otherwise i don't think it stays red very long! HTH! haha
 
There is absolutely NOTHING on my body that is pierced :blink: . There are no tats either. I don't even have pierced ears. So you won't get any advice from me,lol.

If so..on a scale of 1 to 5..how much? yup, hurt like hell...give it a 10 on your scale but there was a reason it hurt so much...not all needles and rings fit together, even if they say they are the same size. He got the needle through and the the ring wouldn't go through so he had to do it again and that's why it hurt so badly.
3. If you decided to remove it, how long did it take before the hole grew up, IF it did? n/a but it's cartilage so it will close if the ring or stud are left out too long.
4. If it grew up, was there a scar? n/a

Anything else? I have my tongue and my navel done as well and the nose was the worst for me...tongue didn't hurt for even a second!

3. If you decided to remove it, how long did it take before the hole grew up, IF it did? I took mine out for a formal and left it out (in highschool) my dad hated it LOL, it healed really fast(prob. a couple weeks)
4. If it grew up, was there a scar? no scar :)
 
I had mine done for my 30th b-day. It didn't hurt that much at all, maybe a 2. I do find it a bit hard to change the rings, though, so I don't take it out unless I have to. You should totally do it!
 
Woot! Thanks for the advice girls! IF I decide to do it, I want a really tiny stud of some kind..no rings. Only reason is I KNOW I would yank that sucker out. I also have allergies, but they aren't so bad that I have a kleenex to my nose everyday. Seriously though..what about boogers? :)
 
haha no worries i never had a boogie leak!! hehe i only have a super tiny stud too...usually people don't even notice!
 
I just took the back part off, mine was like a regular earing you would have in your ear. It stayed in fine without it. :)
 
My sister's tiny little stud doesn't have a "back" either. But her post sorta had a flat coil at the end so that it stays in her nose, but doesn't actually protrude into her nostril. Does that make any sense?
 
I had one for about 5 years. It does hurt...but not super bad. Like maybe a 3? It makes your eyes water that's about it.

When I took the nose ring out it closed in days and with no scar.

so, you see the stud, right? Then there's a short straight part that goes through the skin. Then the little coil/hook part is what is actually inside the nostril and it lays flat against the side of the nostril rather than protruding into it. Does THAT make any sense or have I just confused you further? lol

Mine is like this too, I love it, barely noticable and I blow my nose all the time! Hurt like Hell getting that sucker wound in to my nose though, however, no redness at all after wards, I love my nose ring and in the 6 years that I have had it, I have only taken it out once

I can't use that kind! I can't get the little curve part in haha...so I have one that has a teeny little ball on the end. It doesn't really stick out much...doesn't bother me anyway...hehe
