I thought it would be fun to find out a little about you.
First off does anyone know exactly how many Sugarbabes there currently are?
How long have you been a sugarbabe?
How many times did you try before you became a SugarBabe?
How long have you been scrapping digitally?
What is your favorite part of being a SugarBabe?

How long have you been a sugarbabe? One year and two months....and nope, no plans of leaving :D

What is your favorite part of being a SugarBabe? This is the sweetest gig in digi land. Not only do I work for the best designers in the industry but Im always inspired by the talent of my fellow Babes. I can say more but I really love being a babe :D

*I think there are currently 18 Sugarbabes...I think.
*I have been a Sugarbabe for almost 2 years now!
*I was accepted as a Sugarbabe on my first try....I was in complete shock.
*I have been a digital scrapper since about 2004-2005ish.
*My favorite part of being a Sugarbabe is getting to scrap with so many goodies from top notch designers. The quality here is amazing and everyone is so fun and playful...we know we can joke around with each other without anyone getting feelings hurt. Kinda like a mini sorority. It's just really fun.

 
I'm gonna answer even though I'm not technically a SugarBabe anymore but it's a title that I don't want to really give up. :) Can I be SugarBabe/ Designer? LOL

How long have you been a sugarbabe? I became a SugarBabe in April 2007 but had to leave the Babes in Feb 2008 when I became a designer here.
How many times did you try before you became a SugarBabe? I got the regrets letter 2 times before I was accepted.
How long have you been scrapping digitally? I started scrapping in Spring 2006 and was introduced to digiscrapping by SugarBabe Sari (before she was a Babe)
What is your favorite part of being a SugarBabe? Playing with all the awesome designs here!!

I'll skip the current babe question since that's already been answered. :)

* I've been a sugarbabe since Aug 2007.
* I applied for the babe call last April 2007, but didn't get it. Then, a few months later, I got an invite out of the blue (there was no call). So I guess technically I only applied once.
* I started digital scrapping late summer 2006, but I was a paper scrapper for 8 years before that. So, it was a pretty easy transition.
* The best part of being a babe... probably the behind-the-scenes-fun that we have. I know it sounds corny, but we really do take care of each other and all get along so well. Yes, the products that I get to use are INCREDIBLE, but more than anything, I just love the friendships I've made!
 
one other question. When you become a SugarBabe are you in for life or do you have a certain term you have and then it's over?

How many times did you try before you became a SugarBabe? Just once! Before that it never even OCCURRED to me that I should apply, and then w/the last call, I figured, HECK, Why not? I got my rejection letter one week, and acceptance letter the next. I kindly forgave Robin for her initial rejection and wrote her back before she could change her mind. ;)

What is your favorite part of being a SugarBabe? The immense amount of money I'm saving, lol. No, seriously, being a part of the Sweet Shoppe is awesome. And this one time I got to talk to Christy Lyle on Hello, and I was giddy about it.

I was a 7 year paper scrapper before I found digital 6 months ago. I too found it to be a smooth transition except learning the software which I have yet to master.
Do you find that your style is diffrent in digital than in paper scrapping? I never really tried anything much with white space until I came to digital.

I just don't get giddy over Christy anymore!! I lie....everytime I see her I'm giddy but not for the same reasons you all are....:D!! I would love to chat with Shawna or Dani or Susan!! I haven't really had an opportunity to get to know them better other than work stuff forums!! :D

Yeah, I'd say to an extent it has changed a little. But not much really. And what HAS changed I attribute more to evolving styles and trends more so than just paper vs digi. I always strive to make my digi layouts look like paper, so I've stayed true to my style in that respect. :)

How many times did you try before you became a SugarBabe? I applied 2x and was rejected and then I got pm'ed a surprise invite. I really think Robin had the best way of doing this for me. Remember those threads at DST where people ask what your dream CT is? Well I responded to one last summer when I was on vacation (which is seriously lucky, because I spent almost no time doing anything to do with scrapping) and of course I put the Sweet Shoppe. So she sent me a pm with a screen shot of the thread with my reply at DST and said "Remember This?"........i was seriously freaking out. It was so awesome!

Working with all of the awesome designs here......and seriously the designers and babes here are the nicest bunch of people you will ever meet! Robin is the best!!!!

How many times did you try before you became a SugarBabe? I thought about it everytime but only got the nerve up this one last time and I got it so "One"
How long have you been scrapping digitally? Since 11-05 but please don't ask what that was like, LOL
What is your favorite part of being a SugarBabe? Being able to play with the designers work, :thumbup: this is truly the Sweetest Gig the designs are amazing and just inspire creativity.:)

This just makes me jealous! I want to be a babe! I'm pretty sure since I haven't received an email yet... I didn't make it.

But at least I do create for some great designers here already!!

How many times did you try before you became a SugarBabe? I was rejected twice and the third time was the charm for me.
How long have you been scrapping digitally? I played around with digital just to learn my software for 6-9 months in 2005. I didn't really start making and posting pages until April 2006. I paper scrapped for 8 years prior to going digital.
What is your favorite part of being a SugarBabe? EVERYTHING! I love how Robin runs this place. I love the products. I love the challenges. I love the communtity. It doesn't get any better.

My advice (even though it wasn't asked for) for being a sugarbabe: Stick around and keep trying. Be involved in the community. Apply for individual designer teams. I still feel like I am not worthy at times and still have to pinch myself.

-This is really a great community and I love being a part of it. All the designers and Babes are great. And of course, having full access to all the yummy goodies in the shoppe!

What is your favorite part of being a SugarBabe? I love being a part of team where everyone gets along and enjoy working with each other to make this site so fun! But I think what I love the most is being able to feel like you make a difference here just by doing what you love most - scrapbooking. :p

How many times did you try before you became a SugarBabe? When the site was originally being established the designers had a call out amongst the CT members. My application came in the form of a LO Letter that I still have - I let my littlest DD do the begging for me. It turns out she made an excellent beggar and I got to join this incredible team.
How long have you been scrapping digitally? Since July 2005. I started looking online for inspiration and fonts for my paper scrapping about 6 months before I made the plunge into digi.
What is your favorite part of being a SugarBabe? I love the constant change and freshness of the site. Its like a living and breathing cell that keeps evolving into something new and fresh everyday. New designers, new babes and new ideas all add uniquiness to the structure. Its exciting and new yet based on a build up of so many awesome individual contributions along the way.
 
I have read how several of you only tried once because you were to scared the other times. What gave you the confidence to finally try that one time? Thanks for all the response. This has been fun reading your responses and also getting to see who all of you are.

Honestly I told them I was having a baby soon and if they wanted some layouts w/new life and new beginnings then I was the one for them, :pLMAO ok if only that was true.
Really it was instinct, I said ok let me go for it they'll just say No, thanks if they don't need me:) So siked when I came home and found that letter:thumbup:
 
Yeah, Mary...sometimes I just have to apply just to see if I can make it. And I've gotten on some pretty good CT's for it. But a lot of times I'm like...I know I'll kick myself if I don't apply, so just go for it and if I get turned down, it's totally OK. I applied to be a Babe for pretty much every call they had, lol...never got on...but DID manage to get on as a designer, which is awesome too!! :D

What is your favorite part of being a SugarBabe?Working with all the Designers! I love that the store is open for me 24/7. I want to do a page - BAM! I shop, I pick out a kit and I do a layout. Fab*U*LOUS! I also love the designers - they have been pumping out some REALLY great kits and embellies. There is ALWAYS something I adore every Saturday that I DL right away to play with. The challenges rock, too. I love hosting different challenges every month. And I love when Darla posts the next month's TOTM and I gallery browse to find out the layout I am going to lift.
