First ever hybrid help!!

I'm making a banner for the hybrid challenge this month. I have everything cut out and laid out the way I want, now I realize I don't know how to do the simplest thing! How do I glue it?!

The layering is like this: Banner>flower-shaped cutout>letter

Do I glue everything flat to each other? Do I need to get those little glue dot thingies? Can I just glue in the middle of the cutout and not the edges to make it pop more?

If you want the pop up effect on the final piece, you will need to "raise it up" when you glue it... you can 3D adhesive foam or 3D glue dots... however if you don't have those on hand, I have used a tiny piece of corrugated cardboard, gluing the top and bottom between the two paper elements. Or, if you have those foam adhesive shapes from the kiddos... stack some of those up to get the height that you want. Or - if you have foam board or foam make up sponges - that works awesome, too. Can you tell that I hate going out to shop? LOL!

HTH! :)

Ok Heather! I'm really happy with how it turned out (for being my first try and all. Doesn't compare to the hybrid babes of course, but I like it!), just need to take pics now!

Well, pics didn't turn out great...and it's kinda a pathetic attempt at a hybrid. I'm trying not to even look at the other banners, because I know mine's kinda hilarious compared to lots of them LOL.

I always find that it's REALLY hard to take photos of hybrid projects that really show them off and do them justice, so I am sure it looks even more fabulous in real life!

It really is fantastic. I wonder if some of the designers, babes and CTs would share their secrets for taking great photos of hybrid projects so that we can really show them off??? :)
