I urge you, if you are married, divorced, single, whatever!

I really want to see this. We're going to try to slip away in the next couple of weeks. I think it will be great for us to see. Thanks for the reminder.

I can't wait to see it. I've heard wonderful things about it. I'm going to wait til hubby is home though so we can watch it together so I'll have to wait for the DVD.

yes!!! all of you, it may leave theatres VERY VERY soon so try to go asap. it's really important that we try to support these films in the theatres so they can continue to do good work!! i think this is probably my FAVORITE movie to date!!

It has already changed ours, and DH hasn't even gotten a chance to see it, yet. But even for me...watching the couple and remembering our own lives, it's changed how I do things at home in relation to how I treat him. It's changed things a lot.

Wasn't it awesome?! DH & I went to see it. We have a GREAT marriage! But, we decided to do the Love Dare & are on day 4 and it has already changed our marriage! It has really strengthened us! Our couples Sunday school class at our church is doing the Fireproof Sunday School cirriculum! I think it's gonna change our church! Sherwood is a great church & has a great movie ministry! I love their stand for the Gospel! I grew up in Albany, where Sherwood is & where the movies have been shot! So, it's fun to watch these & be like, oh! I've been there! Or Hey! I know them! My parents & little brother are in some of the "crowd" shots in Facing the Giants! My mom is on staff at Sherwood! Anyway...that's a lot of rambling...lol Definitely go see it!!!

I really, really want to see this - hopefully before the DVD comes out! I really think it would be good for us at this point in our relationship.

Deb that is awesome!! We own all of the movies written and produced by Alex Kendrick! He does such amazing movies about relationships! Whether your a believer or not. Do you know where the 'Dad' in the movie currently preaches??

I've heard really good things about it too! DH and I may actually (gasp!) find a sitter and go on a date night when he's back from his trip. :)

I may have to wait for the DVD since we only get the really big ticket movies here... but please tell me he doesn't die! I can't watch it if he dies!!!

I know! Isn't that cool?! :) Yeah, the Kendrick brothers are awesome! The Dad in Fireproof (Harris Malcom) I don't believe is pastoring anywhere right now. I'll go check his facebook & be back to let you know if it says anything about it! I forgot about mentioning this too, he used to pastor at Central Baptist Church in Americus, GA. He used to be my DH's pastor!

I don't want to spoil it, but I'll just say that you can watch it! :)

that's so cool!! that goofy strawberry blonde haired guy is a youth pastor out there too...do you know where?

Okay, I just checked his FB. He's not pastoring anywhere. He is working for the GA Southern Baptist Convention as a state missionary. I don't know what that means, as I'm not Southern Baptist. But, that's what he does now.

Lizzy, I think I read he is a youth pastor somewhere in Tennessee. I wanna say Memphis? Not 100% sure though.

i am so glad that this movie is touching so many marriages! dennis and i have learned a lot of these things after going through a really rocky time and this movie just confirmed we are doing things better now!! changed my heart for sure too!

I'm sure GA's state missions is similiar to ours...here's some info on what our state missions/missionary work is all about...

In 2007, Mississippi Baptists gave $2,072,806.73. This offering was used to fund ministries such as Garaywa Camp and Conference Center, Central Hills, Disaster Relief, Literacy, Criminal Justice Ministries, Language-Ethnic Ministries, Christian Women’s Job Corps, Church Planting, Pastoral Benevolence, International Collegiate Ministry, Associational Mission Projects, and Volunteer Missionary Assistance. Much of the success belongs to church mission leaders who prayed, promoted, gave and encouraged others to give.

I didn't realize it was out already. Thanks for the heads up Lizzy, I'll have to go and see it! We've really enjoyed all of Kirk Cameron's recent movies, the left behind dvd's were great.

go see it on your own then, jamie. tell tony that he's doing a favor for you and to try to humor you...totally worth it! :) tony would not regret seeing it with you.

You know it's doing pretty well box office wise...EW's ratings had it all the way up to number 3 a few weeks ago and it's still in the top 10 this week I think.
