Firefox issue ... need help

I am using firefox 3.5.6 and it was working fine with downloads.

I used Ccleaner and then I couldn't download from firefox any longer ... I click on a link to download something (i.e. from 4shared) and get this message:

The page isn't redirecting properly


Firefox has detected that the server is redirecting the request for this address in a way that will never complete.

* This problem can sometimes be caused by disabling or refusing to accept cookies.

I haven't changed any settings. Can someone help me? I know the links are valid because I can copy the link into google chrome and it works for downloads.

I stopped using FF because it was just not worth using anymmore. I use Google Chrome, and there are some features I miss, but it works waaaaaaaaay better for me.

So my suggestion is to switch to Chrome. Probably not the answer you were looking for.

yea I'm so with Kellie....FF i quit using for alot of problems and it's just not worth it anymore...I also use google chrome...LOOOOVE it ....once u get used to it. sorry again no help but my opinion.

How annoying! Don't have any probs on my PC I am writing this on but FF on our notebook will always start with the FF start page, no matter what settings. I think, clean FF from your PC and reinstall it again, that should help.
