Firefox bookmarks question

I think Tabby *may* be converted. She's tried several times and hated firefox every time. But...I think she found all the right apps this time to be happy with it...but...

is there an app that will keep bookmarks open on the left of the screen? That's not how I use my bookmarks so I don't know. I hate having part of my screen eaten up by bookmark panel so I use from the menu uptop...but it seems there MUST be a way?

I don't use my bookmarks that way either, but I know how to do it because I don't look at my keyboard (it's tucked under my desk) when I'm typing and SO many times when I try to copy/paste I manage to open the bookmarks. Or the "find" toolbar. LOL!
