As some of you may know I finish my degree in about 2 weeks & my original plan was to keep studying next year(still have applied to study) but.....I found the perfect job earlier this week as a Regional Disability Advisor for a government department which processes benefits and pensions this week and put an application in this morning. As much as its a great job and I'm qualified & experienced enough for it I'm still anxious and nervous. It would definitely give me some more freedom financially if I got the job and allow me to feel like I've grown up.

I can't believe you're almost done with your degree. Keeping my fingers crossed for you!

Good on you Jennifer!! Good luck with the job too - sending positive thoughts your way!

All the best with the application of the job, Jennifer! Sending P&PT your way!
And YAY for finishing your study! Time surely flies :)

How awesome that you were planning one direction, but another door has opened! I will be praying for you as you finish up your degree and for this awesome opportunity!

Good Luck!! I hope it comes through... sounds like it would be a position you would really enjoy!

I haven't totally stopped the further study idea but if I find a job before February I will strongly consider it

Well I'm currently waiting in the reception, surprisingly I'm not nervous which could be a good thing or not we will see.

it went well, they were running a bit late and I was the 2nd to last interview of the day I believe. I felt really good when I came out of it, to me it didn't seem that much harder than my university entrance interview a few years back. They have said they will make the offer at the end of this week, however it has to go to regional director sign off early next week so we won't hear back til the end of next week.

heard back from the job, I wasn't successful. I am not disappointed at all because it gave me experience applying and interviewing.

Aw, I'm sorry Jennifer. You have a great attitude about it though. I'm a firm believer that "What's for you won't go by you."

Sorry to hear that Jennifer. I was hoping you'd get the job. But, you have a good attitude. :) It's good to interview for several jobs you aren't 100% sure about wanting before interviewing for THAT job that you absolutely want/need.

I'm definitely ok with it taking awhile since my degree is really specific. If I don't find something by the end of the year I'll finish off my application for postgraduate study.

I'm sorry you didn't get that job. Sending positive thoughts that something even better comes along or your postgraduate study plan is the better answer for you right now.
