File sync on a Mac?

Does anyone have a good program for creating copies of files on another drive? I'm looking for something that will keep track of what I've moved over to my backup drive for me, but I just want copies of the files, not some kind of archive format. On my PC I was using this program but I've yet to find a Mac equivalent. Any help would be much appreciated!

Lynette, are you talking about a backup system. I just got a Mac Pro and it came with Time Machine. So, I set it up to basically backup my first HD to my second HD.

It works like a charm and it does it automatically in the background and I never even notice it.

Oh Time Machine is AWESOME!!

You can also make aliases on one drive to the other using CocoThumbX.

Sort of? :D I hadn't gotten around to messing with Time Machine yet so I'm not sure if that's what I'm looking for or not, haha. Does it just make duplicate copies or does it back up the files in some other format? Do you know if it will backup across a network to a Windows drive? I'm really just looking for a way to make sure certain files (scrap, photos) are in both places. I have other methods for backing up the whole computer, this is really just an extra precaution.

I haven't gotten too much into it, but you can definitely specify which files you want backed up and which you don't. It backs up an exact copy, not some other format. If you click on the link above, there is a really good overview of all the features. I think you can definitely back up to either an internal or an external drive....and I actually do think that you can use a Windows machine, but I am not sure. Check out the link in my first post.
